I think Miles is caught in a rock and a hard place with this. Its rare everyone will qualify and if he loses players and has room he is bashed

Then plan the frick ahead by telling a handful of guys that they may be greyshirt candidates if every qualifies. Do that during their recruitment and after they signed...don't spring the news on them less than a month before school starts

How much are you all paid to blow Miles every chance you get?

i am not a Miles fan, but i think it is way to early to label this as a disaster as a lot of people are.

a lot of things can happen in 2 years. It's only been 12 hours since Lee has made a decision.

Im not sure how Miles chose Porter as the one to ask. I dont know what goes on in his office but I would guess Porter would have seen the writing on the wall earlier. Every incoming player had to know that there were 25 spots and there were 27 of them. They had to know the possibility a lot sooner that someone would be asked to grayshirt.

So, knowing what you knew then (only), what would you have done differently? Stop taking letters of intent at 25? Never take a chance on Lee?

you cut Garrett and then tell a kid in August that he is not a part of the team anymore and is a 2nd class player. Miles handled it all perfectly the first time.

Now I would say Im more pissed about the possibility that a 3rd QB's scholly was revoked to entice Zach Lee. That on top with the complete lack of depth at QB for LSU has me pissed at Miles.

Still irritates me.

You and I are on the same page.

Cutting CG (If that did indeed happen) had nothing to do with the grayshirt. Im guessing that had to do with Lee. If that is true it pisses me off.

EVERY incoming frosh had to know there was a chance of a grayshirt offer. If they cant count to 25 I dont want them on the team anyways.

it's always someone else's fault though with the attitude of some folks around here, no matter what the facts say.

He's made some good calls on some risky guys like that Pratt kid, but I'm just focusing on the clear mistakes, and some mistakes are being repeated.

i know, i'm just tying them both into Miles relying on his sales pitch outweighing a multi-million dollar offer from the Dodgers.

Your schtick has gotten stale. I want Miles out of LSU as much as anyone else for the sake of our program, but I'll never start up a convo blasting the guy(or his wife)hoping we lose every game

That to me is just being a slimball.

I cant excuse Miles if indeed they asked CG to leave and it wasnt done on his own. Then claim that CG CHOSE to transfer.

Not so you can make a better sales pitch.

As for the grayshirt thing I just dont see how those guys didnt think:

-Hey the NCAA only allows 25 players but there are 27 of us?? Two of us are going to be asked to wait if everyone qualifies.

Thanks. I appreciate that.

At least I have a life. Unlike you, with your Lester Miles obsession which you beat to death every single day on this board.

We get it..you don't like the guy.
