Ehh? Most of the time, people wait til the end of the third to leave. Do USC fans stay the entire time for a 50-3 blowout? That doesn't make them better fans, it makes them idiots.

I didn't imply USC fans were better. In fact, I did not interject SC into the discussion. Talking about USC would really be considered flaming.

I guess we just don't give a shite. I never went to the Spring Game in my 4 years at LSU because it seems boring as frick. I DVR'd last weekend's game but still haven't been bored enough to watch it.

For me, the spring game is just boring and not very relevant

I'd rather go to a relevant baseball game, or like I did this past Saturday, I had a crawfish boil for my friends bday

why would anyone wanna go watch that and become so sad and depressed. AT FLorida Bama and al the other schools you talked about theres atleast hope

LSU fans have never turned out for the Spring Game like Bama fans did last year. LSU fans realize it's boring as frick and don't go. It isn't a social scene and you're not going to get the people driving in from across the state like you would a home game.

a lot of our fans go to the games for the LSU football experience... which includes 10 hours of tailgating and being inside a loud and fun atmosphere. Spring game doesn't offer the LSU football experience. The practice is boring to watch. Historically, it's never been marketed well to the public because they've never seen the point to or never really seen it as a big deal.

I don't get the whole spring game thing either--for any school.

So how do you explain low turnout in the years before Miles became the HC.

I think 90,000 Gumps attending the Spring Game is the outlier. Not LSU.

This only tells me that 90,000 Gumps have absolutely no lives.

You may not think there is more to do, but reality is that there is.

1) The Spring Game is almost always the same day as a baseball game. LSU fans are a bigger part of that than any fanbase you mentioned.

2) Spring Games are glorified practices and people in those states have literally nothing better to do. In Louisiana, we have NOLA and its usually around when spring break is so lots of people are gone. All those schools you listed generally have spring break in early March, unlike LSU.

3) Who cares?

It's because
A.) NCAA Men's BB tourney
B.) We care a lot more about baseball than spring football
C.) Spring Games are a joke.

maybe its because Alabama has more poor white trash in their fanbase and their only opportunity to set foot in the stadium is for the spring game.

Those other schools you mentioned have more fans that are into the actual sport of football and care less about tailgating and other social events going on at the same time. At LSU, a much larger segment of the fanbase seems to be more into tailgating and partying than the football game itself. This explains why so many fans leave early too.

I love LSU football and stay til the end of every game, but I didn't go to the spring game because it is boring and means nothing.
