If only we could schedule UCF again and have that as our season defining victory

This was a great win, but we wouldn't have played in a "big bowl" if it weren't for the playoffs. This would have been a chik-fil-a bowl or cotton bowl type of year, similar to 2010 and 2012.
YOu know nothing about bowl history
before the cfp fiesta was one of the top 4 in the bcs champ rotation
cotton was on par with citrus and cfa was in the same range as the group of six sec bowlsa today
put it to rest the fiesta was and is a big bowl

Expectation should be 10+ regular season wins. As it should always be. If we fall below that expectation then something is wrong. Goal is to win if all.

I think we go 10-2, or 9-3 regular season. 10 wins will be the expectation I believe, don't think many will pick us over UA or UGA (if we make it to Atlanta) and most will expect us to drop at least one to either UF,UT or A&M regular season.

9-4 with losses to Bama, Texas, A&M and UF. Those teams will also be getting better.
Bama is almost a guaranteed loss with Ensminger as coach.
UT in Austin will be difficult especially with Ehlinger at QB for them if he's healthy.
A&M is better coached and will be catching up in talent.
UF again will continue to fit more what Mullen wants and he beat LSU with much less talent at MSU than he is going to have at UF next year.
Now, could LSU go 11-1? Sure, but its not likely. I just don't see LSU lucking out three years in a row playing teams that severely under performed or fired their coaches.
Unless LSU gets an innovative/creative OC/QB coach, they will be a 10-3 team peak. OL will improve if the youngsters come in and beast, but that is not likely across the board.
Defense will be young again, but talented. Kicker will not be as strong at least proven-wise.
O has done a good job bringing in talent this year, but still some holes. Let's see if his staff can develop them.

With the amount we have returning, and clearly our QB hitting his stride, I have to think it’s winning the conference, right?
if we get that far why not go for the NC as well? If we get past Bama to win the SEC west it most likely means we have the best team in the country. I just don't get saying win the sec west or the SEC without also saying win the NC. Personally I think we should go for it all. Why not?

How about fans set the bar at supporting the team and not complaining like a bunch of lil bitches all season.

It’s obvious you are trying to set the narrative early that anything other than undefeated with wins over Bama and UGA (in the SECCG) is a failure that should come with consequences. That’s the goal; that’s not the bar. The bar is improvement of the program and competitive for the championship. The goal is the SEC championship and playoffs. The program is improving. Stop trying to set an excuse to bitch if we happen to drop a close game to Bama, despite having an otherwise great year.
of course that. But no reason not to set the bar we want to achieve as winning the NC. I think that is the attitude the players, coaches, and we as fans should have every season. No matter how great a season we may have next season, not winning the NC would still be a disappointment, just as it is in any other year.

yes we will have them at home and if it is close we should get the home field ref assist that they received this year

The offense is set to improve by quite a bit.
I think that with a change at wide receiver coach that group will shine next season.
Lanard should be healthy which will give the Tigers something that was sorely lacking this past season which is speed. CEH will get his and hopefully Curry will step up. I'd like to see Tae get on the field, even if it was at another position. Emery and Davis will be asked to contribute immediately.
Depth issues will be solved almost overnight for LSU on the offensive line and that group will no longer be a liability.
Joe Burrow will be a monster and throw for over 3000 yards and 27 TDs with 4 interceptions.
The defense will have a pass rusher
LSU will definitely compete for the SEC and NC.

Where does this come from? We still have no tackles; they routinely put tackles in the first two rounds...and will continue to do so. Our left tackle was on skates all year. Who on the roster fixes that next year
Bashing players I see.
Rosenthal and Wire have the potential to be upgrades.

Texas
Auburn
Gators
Bama
aTm - we will skull drag this bunch at home - this team will remember
Texas - this QB against the Dawgs was a big time stud - will be tough at Texas
going to eat Franklins brisket and be at a game at UT - 50/50
Auburn - our D is on these guys / slow down Auburn running game - thats it / everything they do is off run action
Gators - always play the Tigers tight but we have them at home - Tigers win
tight game and of course it could happen but in January I don't see losing to the Gators
Bama - Tua - Bama D / SE has had nothing for Bama - Canada needed his QB but he was not given time by O - O wanted him gone so - he came back with SE and in the biggest game of the year laid his second egg - nothing from this offensive staff that brought anything that Bama was not sitting on. Our OL allowed #92 to embarrass them. Our only hope this year to beat Bama is the CLM way - 9 to 6 and with Tua - that is not going to happen.
Best - 11-1
could see - 10-2
bad side - 9-3
step back from hope in O - 8-4
12-0 - O is a life coach or until he loses 4 or 5 games
If we go 12-0 / means SE pulled the rabbit out of his hat - O has this team going to the point that even the Rant can't be bitching
