re: So, what do you think the outside of the stadium ticket market will be like?

This will be a digital ticket, right? And am I reading that the legit rate is $75'ish? With LSU already announcing, pending any drastic unexpected demand, that the entire East & South upper decks won't even be open, and ticket "issues", i.e. absent any tickets being scalped, I cann't see more than 60K.

Some of you laughing at the idea should check stubhub. The first two blocks of tickets had a quantity of 15 available.
So yes, high priority taf members gobbled up tickets that they won't use and are hoping to sell them. There will be tickets available on Saturday.

so far as of 10pm, tonight they've only sold about 1/3 of the tickets. quite surprising, so there doesn't seem to be a great demand among season ticket holders to pick up tickets yet. I'm thinking at best there may be 65,000 in the stadium Saturday IF non ticket holders pick up a lot of those so far unsold tickets.

Would not buy a ticket made by a laser printer.
Photocopies can still be scanned by barcode readers.
Counterfeiters will be rampant.

Do not buy a ticket unless it has the silver hologram of Mike in his cage on it. All others are fake.

Jeez people, use some common sense with this one. Most tickets sold outside the gates are what are considered "extras"; the games you get with your season tickets that for whatever reason, you don't go to. A team like Eastern Michigan, or sometimes a weak SEC team like Kentucky. Or a game that falls on an important real-life day, and you don't get to go(maybe it's cousin Bob's wedding, and you have to go). People had these tickets when they bought their packages, they were already bought and issued.
Not the case this time. NOBODY had tickets to this game as of yesterday, and so they have to buy them first, before not being able to go. You have 2-3 days to go before the game, so almost everyone will know if they can go or not. I doubt more than 50 tickets are going to be bought with the intention of going, but something happens within the next 2 days. And likely, most of those will not show up outside the gates, because whatever happened that prevented the buyer from going, will prevent him from hanging around to sell them too.
Most any ticket you see outside the gates Saturday will be one of two things: some greedy dickhead who bought up a block with the intention of scalping and making a profit, or fakes that won't get you inside.

Guy called on Moscona's show saying he's a season ticket holder and that a previous caller had brought 10 seats in section 103 and now is unable to get seats. He goes on StubHub and sees that his tickets are on sale for $130! Dude sounds butthurt and depressed at the same time.
What he actually said was ... as a season ticket holder, he expected to get his seats in 103. Instead, by the time he signed in, they weren't available and he was going to have to choose seats somewhere else. Said he went to Stubhub and whoever bought his tix had them listed for $155/ticket.

Tickets are "print at home" or pick up at Will Call. Good luck trying to wade through potential counterfeit printed copies. And why would someone order today/tomorrow to pick up at will call to sell on Sat???

Do you think there will be some real bargains, maybe even better than normal home game?
What??? Why would you buy more tickets than you need and waste time trying to sell them outside the stadium. Maybe I just don't understand the OP.

I agree with the first guy. There were a ton of bama fans in lsu sections. Many lsu fans admitted they scalpped their tickets and made big $$$. I wish i had done the same

Probably the same guy that was on the Ticket Exchange board yesterday within a very short time of them going on sale.

It will be like:
"Pardon me sir and good madam, might I make an inquiry pertaining to a possible acquisition of manufactured proofs allowing entrance into the stadium thereby affording the viewing pleasure of the gridiron contest, as providence, possibly even good fortune, has caused a surplus of the aforementioned proofs to come into my possession, of which I, being a fair-minded yet industrious type, would be willing to enter into transaction with you for the sole purpose of purchasing said proofs, for an amount barely above the university's original intended selling price?"
People be like: "WTF?!"

Maybe you don't have good reading skills. I already posted this on this page.
Look on stubhub, the first couple of listings for the South Carolina game has people selling tickets up to a quantity of 18 and 15 respectively. A few listings down some arse clown is trying to sell 24 tickets at $100 each.
Douchebags with high priority TAF points bought up all of their allotment of tickets, even if they were someone else's normal season ticket seat, and are now trying to sell them.
Or maybe they are just trying to be charitable, but in that case they shouldn't buy up all the prime seats.
Disclaimer: I don't care what other people do, it doesn't affect my plans for Saturday, I'll be in my same seat. I'm just informing those in this thread laughing at the idea of buying extra tickets 4 days ahead of a game.
