You're assuming I was trying to suggest that people shouldn't have the right to own that many guns. I was asking what someone does with a bunch of guns because, as I said, I'm not a gun guy. This may come as a shock, but sometimes people ask questions because they don't know the answer.

That's cool. The "need" thing is often brought up by anti-gunners. They like to say only the police need guns. Just rubbed me the wrong way. Sorry if I took it wrong.

What about the other question?

I don't believe there's been anything definitive, but someone posted that they knew a first responder on the scene and they said the deceased pulled a BB gun on the other two that looked like a real gun. I think that's the extent of the info that we have on that.

Theres no data to support this

You don't know this. You can't possibly know.

You suggesting that someone in a situation like that... gun drawn and pointed at you... that you just wait and assume nothing will happen

I don't see how you got that out of my post. Please read the post of the guy I was responding to.

Darwin award winner right there. That's literally worse than bringing a knife to a gun fight.

I hate it for CEH, Small, and the family/friends of the deceased. But if that's all true, CEH did absolutely nothing wrong and was within his rights to use deadly force.

No big deal. I'm in no way "anti-gun." Seeing what people can do when they're whacked on drugs make me concerned that a house full of guns and tweaked out junkies in my neighborhood may do something dumb.

2 or 3 weeks ago, a guy house sitting next door to me wigged out and thought there were all kinds of people breaking into the house and thought he was people in the car port. If he would have had a gun, I have no doubt he would have been out there shooting it. That's my one and only concern about guns.

This is pretty much what we all think. Let's just hope he's able to handle the situation going forward.

Sounds like CEH was justified in defending himself if he was being robbed. The only advice I would give to anybody selling items to people you don’t know besides carrying a legal firearm and especially in rough parts of town is meet at a police station or sheriffs parking lot. Not that you can’t be robbed there but it is less likely.

The concern I have is if the perp had friends/associates. This chapter may not be over

Good. Perhaps CEH can rid BR of a few more POS.

The hero we need.

shite happens man. CEH was doing something that tons of people do every single day. 99% of them end up going smoothly. CEH was involved in that 1%, and he was prepared for it and acted accordingly it appears. He is the damn man.

Why is CEH in S'Ville trying to sell a PS4 (New or used) three days before Christmas?

He never should've been in this situation?

Shouldn't he be at home with friends/relatives or at the LSU Football Complex preparing for the Fiesta Bowl with his team mates?

Why is the PS4 transaction such a priority at this time?

Maybe he needed money to buy some quick, last minute Christmas gifts for loved ones

Are you serious?

I mean he does also have a life to live.

Selling a gaming system should not be a big deal..

IKR, I have been thinking of some electronics to sell on fb market place this weekend myself.

To help get back some of the money I have been spending on presents..

It's really not a big deal..

This snippet you replied with still says absolutely nothing about a Craigslist deal gone wrong, nor that they had a gun drawn on them first.

I’ve seen that they’re arguing self defense, but have not seen one article adressing those 2 key points I brought up earlier

Yes, I know. That's just what's in the LSU section of TD. I believe it's assumed that it was self defense since they were let go with no charges filed. The Craigslist stuff must have come from one our glorious TD insiders.

Call it an educated guess. My grandfather was a deputy sheriff and a former Marine. I knew how to handle a gun by the time I was 13. So did everyone else in my f

That ain’t extensive training and certainly not for a situation like that. A guy that lives a few doors down from me is a former marine and a career LEO. None of his 3 boys have fired a handgun.....

I keep hearing this. Why was CEH in scotlandville ?? Why was a black kid in Scotlandville ?? Ridiculous. Would you say the same thing if I went to denham springs ? Oh look , a white kid in denham! Your logic doesnt make sense. It was 12:00 in the middle of the day .
