Jgriffith.

I certainly apologize if I have misconstrued your comments. I am only taking them as face value. And I am a bit insulted at them I guess

Baton Rouge is A great town and to say anything else is really not paying attention. I get the fact that the murder rate is not what we would want it to be and good people are working on that. But badmouthing a town is bad mouthing it’s people and doing it from afar is really sort of weird.

Spent a good portion of my life out of state and out of country and Baton Rouge was always what I wanted to come back to

Same here having lived in Big D and then blue haired Natchez. I love my city and won't move away again.

We spent much of the beautiful day today driving all over the metro area frickin off. Took pics at the Capitol Park then went to campus to see Mike, then to George's on Perkins.
It was a good day.

But unlike Clyde I didn't have to use the AK.

I rarely go to the mall but I was there the other day for a Christmas gift and it’s not that bad, it was actually very busy. But I guess your one of the people who considers Baton Rouge to be the “Planet of the Apes.” Maybe if more people in the community tried to help each other instead of picking sides this would be a better city, but nah that’s too hard for some people, and those people are on both sides of the divide.

Is it possible that he had a playstation already and is selling it because he is getting one from the bowl?

Would be way more likely if they had given ps4 pros put instead of regular ps4s. If you have an exact match no reason to sell a used 1 instead of getting more cash from the unused 1 unless the new 1 was an upgrade like a pro edition.

Agreed. I totally get that some choose to leave. My parents moved us to Texas when I was 10. Went to high school there, met my wife, and my daughter was born there. Guess what? Some areas of Texas were beautiful and some were awful. Same as anywhere else. Same as Baton Rouge.

About 2 years ago, was blessed to receive an opportunity to come back home and have a really nice quality of life. My wife and daughter were all for it bc they've grown to love LSU and south Louisiana over the years of coming back to visit family. It was an easy decision to come back home.

We enjoy the hell out of life here and they love it as much as I do. Both of them born and raised through their formative years at least in Texas.

No place is perfect. Lots of people have to leave for school or work or whatever and that's cool. I did the same. And lots of people stay or choose to come back because it's home. It'll always be home. And we do just fine here and are as happy as you are with your life. No need to act like you're better than anyone.

I don't keep up with gaming like I used to, so I'm not sure if the newer PS4 consoles are any kind of upgrade over the first ones released. I don't see a reason why anyone would do that if the new console didn't offer something the old one did not. It wouldn't be something you would do just to get a new one if that's what you're asking.

He's exactly right. Fed law prohibits his purchase of handgun. State law protects his right to carry it.

It's still a fairly decent rule that most of the crime happens north of Florida Blvd. There are a few bad neighborhoods in SBR but it's not like most middle class people ever go into them.

You seriously dont think all the ps4s in the bowl were in the same serial number / mac address range?

Could be, but how is the NCAA going to get that information from the one he was selling? They have no subpoena power. The cops who took it as evidence won’t give it to them. It will eventually go back to CEH. All he has to do is say “it was an old one” or “my grandmother bought me one for Christmas and since I just got one, I was selling the one she got me”.

Only way they can get that information is if it’s voluntarily given by CEH.

Well my story is coming straight from people who are extremely close to Clyde and Jared and I know them personally, so I choose to believe it. But hey, you can say what you want, it’s a free country. I just think the victim was probably in the wrong.

We lived off of Bluebonnet as well - about 15 years ago. Neighborhood was nice. We did have a beautiful LSU (tailgating) trailer stolen one time. That was about a $2,500 loss, pretty typical; but one of my family members informed me there was a shooting there last year.

Have YOU been to MOL lately? Did you see a few more black people than you are comfortable being around the last time you went? I probably go there.. 2 or 3 times a year for one thing or the other and in no way to I feel like I am in harms way.

That's not saying something can't happen, it can happen anywhere, but damn dude.. A bullet-proof vest?

Here comes the negative recruiting in 5 4 3 2 1.....

All the other SEC recruiters are following this story too.

Would you send your son to LSU? I can hear em now. Baton Rouge is a war zone.

I didn't intend to throw this into a debate on gun laws. Just simply noted that CEH was 19 and hoped he wasn't carrying a stolen firearm.

Does CEH crack the top 2 on depth chart after this game ever again anyways?

Absolutely. These studs coming in will NOT be ready to pick up SEC blitzers on passing downs nor have the experience to take the lean-forward for 2yds instead of bouncing it outside for a 3yd loss.

Now 6 games in... We'll see.

Coaches could have used that argument when Wade Sims was killed, but we still managed to haul in a top 4 recruiting class.
