Because Orgeron and Kiffen have been trainwrecks almost everywhere they've gone, and they're together again on the same staff. I also suspect part of Kiffen's downfall at USCw was a result of Orgeron's undermining him. Sudden turnaround the minute Kiffen leaves--hmmm. If that's even partially true, they ain't gonna play nicely together in T-Town.
I agree with another poster who said Gus has gotten in Saban's head and he's making crazy moves that will blow up the whole thing. This is going to be fun to watch.
I agree with you, Rockfish. This could be proof that Saban is starting to lose it. I cannot imagine Nick Saban associating with these two bozos under normal circumstances; they're trouble waiting to happen.

What do you want to do? Sign some federal law prohibiting sweaty morons from Louisiana being employed? Might affect you too.

if both kiffin and orgeron end up on the bama staff it may make recruiting a bit tougher but it's about as tough as it gets already. trooper taylor raided some pretty damn good prospects and we still lost guys after he left. face it, we are surrounded by sumlin, saban and muschamp already. recruiting louisiana is still mostly our baliwick but we just have to continue to go after out of staters as well as la kids. all other programs are in the same boat; florida loses a lot of recruits and so does tejas, ms, alabama, georgia, tennessee, etc, etc. recruiting is no longer an in state deal; it's big time regional with a sprinkling of national. one thing this year should have taught us is that "the fence" is down and it is not our coaches fault; it is what it is.
the present bama regime ain't gonna be around forever and with the bama boosters being shady as hell it is just a matter of time that kiffin, who has been proven not to know ncaa rules, and esp orgeron will frick up big time.

According to Bruce Feldman on twitter, Orgeron to Bama is not happening and never was.

Who is to say he would take it over a Bama offer even if he did?
Don't know if be would, but offering him a job is what OP wants Les to do. At least try to keep him from Bama.

You suspect that based on what? I feel quite certain that Saban would ask Kiffin for his thoughts on Coach O considering they've worked together on 3 different staffs - the last 2 of which when Kiffin hired O. I don't know if O goes to Bama or not, but if he does I doubt Kiffin and O have any bad blood.

Saban will own Louisiana if he gets Orgeron on his staff

I enjoy this board the most when bad news comes out. The chicken littles are really crapping their pants at the possibilities now.
What if Bama hired Ogre and Ogre convinced Fournette's dad to get Juluke and Frank Wilson together for on on staff recruiting job?

JC Shurburtt doesn't see this happening either. They have already announced they are interviewing other candidates today NOT named Orgeron.

How are spinning this as bad for bama? Its a homerun hire IMO
where Kiffen and O. Please list where they have been successful together? O was successful at miam, close 15-20 years ago.
Kiffen, He selected T. Bray over T. Boyd. wrong move. He turned Barkley from a sure fire top 10 pick to middle round pick. He was fired due to lack of offense.
I find it interesting, Saban is having big time turnover on his staff. These guys have as big of ego's as he does. They are not going to like someone telling them what to do.
Recruiting, bama can't recruit any better than they already are.

Please Let It Happen!!!! O and Kiffin to 'Bama. If this happens the '5th column' will have arrived.

Dude. Come on now. Barkley was never a top 10 pick. Never. And don't tell me that Kiper had him #1 on his big board. I don't care. Kiper also had Jimmy Flipping Clausen as teh #4 overall ranked player in the draft in 2010.
Kiper doesn't know as much as he thinks he knows
