Pearson has a tight Hamstring but should be back for the weekend. I am not sure about Caraway or Simpson; both have played some, as you pointed out, but they may not be 100%.

Simpson and dardar are seniors
They need to see other players

I think the caraway experiment is over
I’m not convinced Pearson is an everyday player

Pearson is for sure insured.

Dardar and Simpson were injured. Simpson seems to be healthy now but just not worth playing. Dardar may be recovered, but other people like Ruckert are getting looks because he's the future at the position.

Carraway's time here is likely just over. No reported injury from him outside of the illness way back in Knoxville.

I'm not convinced you're an everyday fan, since you quit on the team last season, but I'll cut you some slack, just like I will do for Pearson.

Pearson has gotten markedly better defensively at third, and his hitting has improved. Both still need work, though.

Dardar has reportedly told one of the local radio guys that he still has some pain in the lower leg/ankle/foot. I just don't recall who it was I heard say that in the last couple of days.

Not sure when I would have heard that from Rantz, unless he was on with Hester and Flynn on Tuesday morning. Otherwise, the only time I actually listen to him is when he is calling a game, and even then, it is begrudgingly. He didn't call the game last night or this weekend.

Caraway missed time at Tenn b/c he got sick on the trip. He didn't travel to ole miss b/c he had a cut on his finger. He also didn't play against A&M; not sure if that is related to the finger or not. He's only had two plate appearances since then. His time here may be done, but he's still a better option than Reaves imo. Caraway came into the state game on Friday when Pearson got hurt. He made that throw to Ruckert, where he came off the bag. Jay pulled him and put Simpson out there briefly, then put Reaves in the game. The crazy part is that, even though it was a bad throw, Ruckert could have caught the ball and kept his toe on the bag. TC deserved the E, but it isn't like he launched it in CF. Caraway's fld% is over .150 better than Reaves. There seems to be more to this situation than who is the better player. Reaves is a senior who is bad in the field and at the plate. He gives you nothing moving forward.

I think Ben/Lyn mentioned Dardar and Pearson may be available this weekend. No info on the others.
