So tired of everyone thinking Brady was the key element of last year’s success

Burrow made Brady, not the other way around, and it didn’t matter who the PGC was, LSU was winning the NC because of Burrow.

Don’t get me wrong, Brady helped get a new offensive philosophy introduced, but Burrow was the reason it worked so well and Coach O was going to the spread before Brady was hired.

If there is a drop off in offensive production this year, the blame will go on the new PGC hire, but the real reason will be that Burrow is a once in a generation player that we were lucky enough to enjoy last year, not that Brady was a once in a lifetime coach.

Trust in Coach O and his hires. Be patient with Brennan understanding he isn’t Burrow and let next season play out before we think we know more than Coach O on who the next PGC should be.

I agree that Burrow's execution made this team. But Burrow did not put in bunch sets, empty sets, the RPO's, etc...

He was awarded The Broyles Award and hired as an NFL OC full time, so I would have to think that maybe he actually did WAY MORE than anyone thinks. However, I am hoping Coach E retained enough to not miss a beat.

I wish the season started this Saturday. We’re gonna have te longest offseason on record with every Tom, Dick and Harry starting threads bitching about everything they can think of. Our Offense will be fine. I fully expect Brennan to light shite up, and even if he’s not lights out, we have a rb corps thats chock full of talent to support him, the Biletnikof winner, Marshall and a slew of other talent returning, along with Arik Gilbert, the highest rate TE recruit ever, as a supporting cast with plenty of talent on the o-line.

Scorching hot take here.

Brady was by far and away the biggest reason for the offensive improvement.

So if we would have had one of the below average QBs of the past years, we still would have put up 50 every game, because they would have instantly been able to read a defense and have newly found pinpoint accuracy like Burrow?

Burrow made Brady,

1. we don't have a Burrow on the roster

2. Brady changed the offense from 2018 when Burrow was mediocre, so Brady gets a lot of the credit

we would have put up better offense than the Burrow-Ensminger offense of 2018

Probably not. But, Burrow didn't throw a touchdown in the month of October in '18. The scheme was the biggest factor in the overall offensive production.

Clearly he does.. But I suspect Munoz has more to do with developing Burrow than we know...

Lot’s of truth here. Burrow is the biggest reason for LSU’s success. However, lets not pretend Brady didn’t play an impactful role. LSU’s WR’s made huge strides in 1 year. LSU’s O-Line and D-Front made huge strides in 1 year. Lot’s of pieces fell in place.

Uh no, we were not winning the NC with E and Jerry Sullivan.

Or maybe y’all are undervaluing a Senior QB in his second year of playing. To quote his first years stats against his Senior year’s stats is not relevant. Almost every QB gets better from there first to second year of experience. That would have happened if someone other than Brady was hired.

Burrow was never mediocre, he had a 64% completion rating and he is the first QB I remember being able to call pre snap audibles day1 game 1 on a LSU team that has never seen that. He did it all with
A. the most drops in the sec
B. limited playbook knowledge after getting in mid summer. I don't believe he even knew all the guys names on the team before the season started...

He got better and better every game.
