Why would you want to replace mediocrity with mediocrity?
I don't think Chip Kelly is mediocre. I certainly don't think Shaw or Strong are.

We haven't really been Bamas stomping ground - we've outplayed them I'm at least half of the most recent 8 games.

Chip beat Tenn in 2010.

The problem is:
LSU fans are attempting to judge the level of their program's success by comparing it to one of the greatest runs in the history of college football.
That is fricking absurd. You can't do that or we will be hiring a new coach every 3 years. You know what instability does to a program?

8. Bama snagging top La recruits
9. Bama getting a mulligan
10. Bama's pretend rivalry with Tn dictating our schedule
11. Etc etc

Every team with a pulse beat Tenn in 2010.
Chip Kelly then proceeded to get beat by the only other SEC team he faced that year.

So we were elite during Sabans tenure here with him averaging 2-3 losses a year but we're not elite now averaging about the same? Interesting......and biased.
it took miles 9 years to do what saban did in 5!

Luckiest penalty in history

Its time to be honest.
We are a young, poorly coached team that is lacking the talent and depth that we have enjoyed for the past decade plus. This is especially evident at the DL, OL, and LB positions.
The prospects for the future are not great. We'll lose all the offense when Mett, Landry, Hill, Beckam, and Collins all leave. Next year will be the most challenging year since 2008.
The sky isn' falling - we just need to adapt to commitments not being here for more than 3 years. We're no longer going to have the same kind of depth and we can't miss out of talent evals.

I want you to let something sink in your head for a few minutes.
Read this twice.
Read it aloud if you must.
Its a simple concept really.
Saban is a better coach than any other school's coach.
He was once our coach but he is no longer. He will never again be our coach.

no it should not. you have not been paying attention have you? WHO here said we should have had 3 of the last 4 Nc's? WHO?
most want better performances, management, discipline and preparation which you obviously know nothing about. oh and for miles to stop losing games he should win year in and year out on a regular basis. i think most would be fine with a sec title every 3 years.

Then stop comparing Miles to Saban.

Well his offense tore up Tenn worse than any SEC offense did. And you're gonna knock him for not beating AU in a year that no one else beat AU?
I don't know if Chip would do great at LSU but he's a great college coach and there's no reason his offense wouldn't work in the SEC, esp when you look at SEC defenses lately. They haven't been that stout outside of Bama.

can you read? yes i made a statement earlier about the time frames it took them but my last post I INSTRUCTED YOU TO READ had nothing to do with that at all.
great rebuttal to all my points.

Go to the national championship game two years ago. Come within one first down and/or a defensive stop from making another national championship appearance last year. But we have one rebuilding year after being absolutely decimated by the draft and we're mediocre.
This.
But would you agree that a LOT is riding on whether we land a handful of elite recruits this year?
