Auburn has lost to 2 top 10
teams by 9 pts and on the road to a top 25 team.

Arizona beat Toledo in ot at home and a rebuilding ok st team at home.... How can that be considered impressive?

Did you watch them play last night? I don't know that I've ever seen a team so bad fundamentally. 6 times in redzone and no points is sad. And Oregon looks impressive because they got 2 pick 6's on that team?

rantards are dismissing what KSU, FSU, and Oregon have done so far this year. all have beaten opponents superior to who we played last night, but they dismiss the superior resumes and lack of a game as bad as last night when discussing the teams

KSU going into Norman and beating a struggling OU side that has looked rough all year, worthy of mention.

FSU being down 2 TDs to Clemson in the 3rd then pulling away.....that's Clemson being Clemson and expected

Oregon - beaten a couple cupcakes and an over-rated Zona that has a brand new coaching staff and philosophy at home. Sorry not going to pretend that this was anything more than what it was. Zona was in the red zone 6 times and the game was 13-0 at half. If a PAC-12 defense can stop Oregon most of the game, I know what the SEC would do. Seen this story before and I know how it ends.

Auburn beat ULM.

Classic trap game for them.

well, to be fair, Oregon took Auburn to the end of regulation in the 2010 title game

last year we pulled away late and gained some major momentum after some ST plays, but they have a better QB and RB this year

Sometimes is seems like you love to hate on LSU and its fan base... but yea, those teams should jump LSU based on resume, absolutely

i think barner/DAT > barner/LMJ, however you want to list "RB" as

why do you say that?

they finally have a running QB instead of thomas and their D looks better. DAT > LMJ, too

There the same and won't fair well against the top five teams in the SEC. It's a match-up nightmare for how there team is built. They look great against everyone else on their schedule minus maybe USC and they will spank the Big 10 in the Rose again but same story for them.

Auburn had a terrible defense. You realize that right? They gave up over 24 ppg that year...Oregon averaged over 47ppg that year and still got shut down but what is considered a bad defense by SEC standards.

yeah they had some issues. their FG kicker is HORRRRRRIBLE. at some point he's gotta give it up or see if a student wants to come kick

It's September. Resume matters right now, but not too much because we have no idea how good anyone is. We're getting a better idea, but a resume ballot now is still a power poll of your opponents, which is just as silly. We're starting to get a good picture, but it's still blurry.

That said, I'd vote Kansas St. ahead of LSU in a heartbeat. Going into Norman and getting win, on top of their pasting of Miami? That's a pretty stout resume.

i agree. miami isn't great but they got raped and OU is a good team at worst, possibly top 8

Final score was the only thing impressive in the Oregon game last night. Arizona should have been leading in the 3rd qtr but that is overlooked bc a team that went 4-8 last year and beat a rebuilding ok st team and Toledo in ot is now a good team
