Statistically, they are better on defense in every major category and offensively in their run game. Their fatal flaw, and why they are ultimately not close to Bama, is they are pure dogshit in the passing game. Shut down their rush and they are toast.

LSU will get their chance to prove themselves. Believe it or not but a lot of people still aren’t sold on LSU. A convincing win Saturday will erase just about all doubt.

LSUs weakness might be stopping the run.
LSUs strength is the secondary.
In some ways, Ms State can be as scary to play as Tua’s pass happy Alabama.
If we stop the run we win.

Who have they played that made them better on defense in every major category ? SFA, La. Lafayette, Kansas State. Lost to an improved Kentucky team 28-7, and Florida 13-6. None of these are offensive juggernauts. Kentucky is the best offensive team out that group.

LSU will most likely want to jump out to a quick lead (10-14 points) and then: (1) make MSU get outside their comfort zone on offense and, (2) then LSU will go into a more, deliberate offense to kill 3-4 minutes of clock (give MSU 2 possessions/quarter) and settle for any points at the end of each drive.

To be clear I was comparing them to Bama, though I imagine many of that is true for us too.
Our schedule has been tougher, but MSU and Bama have played a similar schedule.
