If it's anybody other than Burrow, I'm out. Every swinging dick expert out there from coaches to observers are saying that LSU got a steal in getting Burrow. Yet Coach O wants to play this stupid arse mental hopscotch saying that the race is "wide open" right now. Come on. And if he's being serious and goes through with starting somebody else, he's probably just as done as I am. Because most people out there already thinks O is a dumbass. That move would not help his cause out, at all.

Was listening to OTB this morning - sounds like Burrow is actually Etling 2.0 for the most part. Doesn't make killer throws - just knows where to go with the ball etc.

Look I dislike O as much as anyone. But it’s the first few days of camp. I have no problem with him saying the QB competition is wide open even if it really isn’t.

It’s Burrow. O is just playing this stupid “competition” game for appearances. Burrow needs every rep as the starter to prepare for Miami. If we were playing Citadel week 1 then fine, but we have a legit opponent that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Having a fake competition is taking the opponent lightly.

U are so wrong it’s kinda funny. Brennan has serious arm talent. He needs to take advantage of the new RS rule and get another year under Moffit. He can be a stud. LN hasn’t played significant football n years but he has a cannon and is very gifted athletically. Bottom line is we haven’t been this talented at QB n years but a few of em are green and need more development

All weight will do is give him a better chance to get through a season of real-game poundings.
Added weight won't have any affect on accuracy, reading defenses, pocket presence, progressions, leadership, etc.
You know, all the stuff a QB needs.

I think he shouldn't insult the players' intelligence.
I also don't think you he should this unless he is fully prepared for any of the QBs to play.
That said, I and a couple others may just be overreacting. We'll see how things shake out.

Its a head coach's way of saying to Brennan, Narcisse, and McMillian that the new guy isn't being given the job, he's got to earn it. Depth chart means basically nothing right now.
