The reason for the baseball delay is pitching. Baseball doesn’t want to start a game then go into a delay and waste a starting pitcher. Softball doesn’t have to deal with that issue

Incorrect. The stated reason for weather delays in sports is for player safety. Apparently, women’s safety in intercollegiate sports is not as important as men’s safety.

Guys.. think about it.. and it doesn’t take someone who’s played baseball at a high level to figure it out. If you get your starting pitcher HOT before the game, throws 30-40 pitches in the pen, goes out for an inning and then the game gets suspended for a couple of hours, you BURN him for the rest of the weekend and then have to use your entire bullpen.

In softball, you don’t have to worry about burning your starting pitcher, they can pick right back up where they left off because of the natural underhanded motion.

There’s a reason for everything.
