So impressed with this staff's ability to vet players

Second time watching the game and the way these guys handle themselves on the field, the WRs out blocking, OL working as a unit, Defense gang tackling, executing their assignments, wrapping players up, the blocking on the P6.
I know for a while many were impatient while the staff was working on offering players, hosting, and recruiting, but they eventually filled enough positions with guys that look and play hungry and function as a single unit, not 11 guys on the field.
Here's to looking forward to seeing them play football 60 minutes Saturday night.

Lane, Billy, and Blake can see talent, period!

It’s like they remade cfb for lane kiffin and now the sec is pissed because they are starting to realize it too.

More than just talent! Character! How many of the best players are also described by their peers as “ the hardest worker “….Kiffin and his assembled staff really are the “ real deal”. The they find the best and somehow get them them better!

I know Weis & Baker are really important but I’d wager Glasscock & Savage are just as instrumental to our success

Someone told me about the process and how intense it was. Glad the staff didn’t just chase the biggest names in the portal.

That is the difference with him or whomever is truly great at it. They are built for all of the rules (or lack thereof) right now. That’s why I think Lane stays for quite some time.

They mentioned formal character evaluation during the game broadcast as one of three parts of the portal transfer process, with some candidates shocked to hear a "thanks but no thanks" as they were sent on their way.
I think in the Monday press conference Lane said his goal is to combine the discipline and organization of Saban teams with the "fun" of his days at USC. He seems to have found the magic recipe.

And go look at Dillin Jones stats last year. It’s not like had amazing numbers. This staff really did their homework and diligence on guys

Talent is a must but love of football is right there. For those that have played know. It’s shocking how many that are good at it don’t like playing/practicing. It shows at the d1 level. Lack of preparation.
