Hopefully age and maturity will help with that

He’s a headcase. Maturity in general is what he needs. Not uncommon.

I don’t see why he can’t take the next step

I’m fine with the hitting version of Slaughter we saw in the second half of the season
However, not so fine with his disabilities while throwing the ball from 3rd to 1st

Hey buddy, what was lost in our discussions was that i acknowledge Slaughters talent. Never hated the guy.I dont think Reid was getting the respect he deserved but thats for another day

That was probably my fault for getting all amped up. But you did, I seent it! And I do think that if Reid never got in the CPM dog house that he could have contributed.

We are referring to an entirely different discussion that took place about 3 months ago.

I don't think he's in the doghouse. I think hes just a slow singles hitter. There's not a whole lot of use for that kind of player. I love Reid but he just doesn't bring much to the table

He is a pretty nice asset to platoon or to pinch hit but realistically that’s as far as he is going to get unless he finds some 1997 Gatorade laying around.

You’re right, it was Cotton that brought up Slaughter not Lester.

He's a great bench guy for LSU.

I would've loved to have been a great bench guy for LSU. I'm jealous as hell of the kid

Not as an every inning guy, but there is a place for those guys in situational baseball. Especially if he can lay down a freaking bunt or hit to the other side and, ya know, foundational baseball stuff.
