I agree Captain!! There are many coaches with better records. Miles seems like a great guy, very likeable and a good recruiter. However,a real glaring problem is the way the players come out flat in some games, such as Ole Miss and Furman and many others last year. And the typical mistakes and penalties. That's coaching! Saban's players are disciplined (or too scared of Saban) to come out flat.

I think getting rid of Miles right now may be a mistake. If anyone needs to go it's Chavis. Unlike other teams, the defense hasn't shown improvement as the season's progressed. There's a reason why Tennessee didn't keep him around. Just ask their fans. They were ready for him and his Prevent Defense to go!

Too many fans on this board want to settle for being #2, 3 or 4. Why?? Because they think Saban can't be beat or because THEY don't know of another coach. Were these same fans anxious to get Miles after Saban left??? Doubtful!

They should have been down 14-0. If anything, bama came out flat, not lsu. It wasn't til the 2nd half hen they asserted their dominance. Bama is not this all great team you guys think they are. If so, every game should be 60-0. So obviously bama doesn't play up to their potential in every game. They didn't even do that against lsu in the first half.

You guys are crazy.

Let's fire miles in one of the most important cycles for la prospects in the last 12-13 years. There is no guarantee we keep Wilson if mikes is let go. Add to the fact that no juniors would stay. We are basically starting from scratch and would takes us 2-3 ears to compete. When we can compete next year.

Why would we fire miles just to replace him with an unproven coach?

Miles was a proven coach?

This was the point of the OP.

The pumpers just dont get it, and their own logic falls down with the original hire of less miles.

Miles is so lucky and they will never get it.

Yet Miles record at okieState over 4 years was just 28-21.

No, you guys don't get it. If he didn't win, he wouldn't be our coach. That's the chance you take. Its not like we fired saban then hired miles, who has dine better than saban. Why fire a coach that has proven he can win the sec and play for a title with one that hasn't. The wheels haven't fallen off. The grass isn't always greener.

So let's fire miles. How ling do we give the new coach? 1 year? That's the expectations here. If the new coach doesn't win the west his first year, he's already behind miles.

Let's look at tenn. The wrong hire could set you back a decade or more. They've prob hired the wrong coach 3 times now. Stability at the top goes a ling way.

He proved that he could turn a program around. Before Miles, OSU had 1 winning season in the previous 10 years.

Miles had 3 in his 4 years there.

Bama didn't come out flat! Like they would come out flat against LSU!! This is the way they play every game. They turn it up a notch each quarter. Read my post.. again! I didn't say to fire Les Miles! Try to keep up.
