I agree 100%!! The problem starts with Joe Aleva. He had months to prepare to bring a good coach to a Great program. When he fails and can't make a decent hire, he just gives the job to a current coach...O Too much talent on this team to play like this. Too many penalties are the result of poor coaching. He was with Ole Miss 3 years and only won 3 game each season. :banghead:

Chavis is the weakest link, not Miles!! He's had extremely talented players to work with in the past. He may have some now but they haven't shown improvement as the season's progressed.

quote My only issue with Les is the way he speaks to the media. He sounds like a complete moron most of the time. Just like this morning I listened to him babble something about LSU wanting to run the ball but the need to be balanced but I couldn't figure out the hell he was saying.

I have to agree with this. I can't imagine that things would be much different when he talks to the players.. I've that the players love him and that they play hard for him BUT if can HE get them motivated when they're not motivated enough (like against Ole Miss for ex)
Didn't see many team rushing to get Chavis after Tennessee let him go either.
TN fans were complaining about Chavis long before Kiffen showed up!!! Prevent Defense?Prevent Wins
Thank you big Ed!!!!

There's a reason Tennessee didn't keep him!!
You'd live in Tuscaloosa over Baton Rouge??!!! What are you waiting for?? Geaux!! My parents lived in Tuscaloosa for a couple years and it was the most boring place ever!!!! I would take Baton Rouge over Tuscaloosa any day!!!!

Chavis must go first!!

Bama sends just as many players to the NFL, yet they never seem to get decimated by early departures - look at McCarron and Mosley this year, both of whom could have gone pro last year. Why is this? I'm serious - could someone please explain why NFL quality players seem to stay longer at other schools, yet jump ship from LSU at the first inkling of a pro career.

I wonder the same thing. Is it because Saban's players have more respect for him or believe that he will guide them to another championship??
Bama didn't come out flat! Like they would come out flat against LSU!! This is the way they play every game. They turn it up a notch each quarter. Read my post.. again! I didn't say to fire Les Miles! Try to keep up.
At this point I would pull for the Taliban against Alabama
I agree Captain!! There are many coaches with better records. Miles seems like a great guy, very likeable and a good recruiter. However,a real glaring problem is the way the players come out flat in some games, such as Ole Miss and Furman and many others last year. And the typical mistakes and penalties. That's coaching! Saban's players are disciplined (or too scared of Saban) to come out flat.

I think getting rid of Miles right now may be a mistake. If anyone needs to go it's Chavis. Unlike other teams, the defense hasn't shown improvement as the season's progressed. There's a reason why Tennessee didn't keep him around. Just ask their fans. They were ready for him and his Prevent Defense to go!

Too many fans on this board want to settle for being #2, 3 or 4. Why?? Because they think Saban can't be beat or because THEY don't know of another coach. Were these same fans anxious to get Miles after Saban left??? Doubtful!
Spoken like an arrogant Alabama fan!!
