First off, they’re each phenomenal and bring something unique and new to the table.

There is a bit of a national narrative right now that LSU has a “dynamic duo” with Jefferson and Chase. I think that’s because Marshall has been out the last few weeks, so as the pundits are catching on to the offense - they aren’t seeing Marshall. But we know he’s every bit as dangerous as the other two.

But it got me thinking, who truly is the best? I can’t really differentiate the talent between them, which is a good thing imo and says a lot about each of them.

I think they all have first round potential, and will for sure be top 3 rounders.

Jefferson is the best of the 3 imo. Route running and great hands.

1. Chase
2. Marshall
3. Jefferson

Chase has the most potential for a big play and probably the most athletic WR we have. Marshall is a stereotypical NFL caliber WR that will have a long career. Jefferson has a knack for getting open underneath and we've seen what he can do once he gets the ball.

Jefferson will have the most receptions. Chase will have the most impressive plays. Marshall will have the most TDs.

having Jefferson 3rd is a joke. He's LSU's best WR.

If you want to say who will be the best pro maybe you can rank him 3. But 3 is disrespectful

No doubt. Do the other 2 have more upside? Yes. But Jefferson is really special. He’s got size, speed but I think he has a better feel (instincts) of where to be on the football field.

That’s a hard question. Like you said, they each bring something else to the table. That being said...

1. Jefferson
2. Chase
3. Marshall

I think Jefferson is clearly the best of the three, but Jefferson hasn’t put up a performance like Chase’s against Vandy, and who knows what Marshall could’ve done if he had been present in the past few games.

I know people may say Jefferson is our #1, but I just really like Chase’s game. Also his stats are with him missing that one game for presumed suspension.

Jefferson hasn't dropped a single pass yet this season. As he has caught the pass every occasion he has been targeted. At least that's what I heard during the Florida game.

Honestly...
1a Chase
1b Jefferson
3 Marshall

But this is really based on nothing at all. None have any bad drops and catch most everything put in a good spot. They all play thier roll REALLY well

Riiiiight. That’s why national analysts suck each one of them off to completion. Herbstreit drools all over Jefferson’s tool every chance he gets and said during the Florida game that he’s one of the best receivers in the country.

Chase is the slant and go up and get it guy

Jefferson is the sit in zone and YAC guy

Marshall is the fly route deep threat

At he moment there is no doubt how they rank. Jefferson is the best, with Chase second and Marshall third. However, anyone can see that Chase has the most talent, and he will probably make the best pro. Chase just has leaping ability and timing that is world class. Jefferson is just better than he looks. If a scout watched Jefferson workout I doubt he would realize how strong he is.

I’d take Odell and Jarvis over any two of them, but I have never seen three better receivers at LSU at the same time.

Chase
Jefferson
Marshall

I think Marshall has the most potential but Chase right now has to be doubled every single play. He's way too much of a homerun threat and can break ankles fast. It seems like when he runs routes DBs are always 5 yards behind him. An NFL WR that reminds me of how Chase plays is similar to Antonio Brown who always seems wide open. Not saying he's AB but damn I've seen even double teams get torched by him.

JJ and Chase are equal for what they both bring to the offense. Even projecting to the Pros, I couldnt say Chase will/should be better than JJ. JJ is so underrated to where when he WINS THE BILETNIKOFF, people will say its because of Joe. Nope. JJ is a 1st round talent but didnt have the name or stars coming in... Marshall is no slouch either. They all would be 1st option on any other team in SEC outside of Bama. And as for which core is better? Im taking LSU. Stats back it up and Waddle aint no receiver of consequence this year. Bama may have more speed but I like our hands better. Plus, I feel LSU receivers would be just as good catching slants/screens all day. But not sure if Bama receivers would have same success running the deep routes like LSU, especially without any drops.

All 3 of Jefferson, Chase, and Marshall are WR1s.

They never come off the field and we go where the mismatch / solo coverage is and we exploit the frick out of it because we have 3 WR1s on every play. And I love how well they complement each other and have different skill sets. Jefferson is Burrows security blanket and most trusted WR. Chase and Marshall are 2 freakishly talented WRs where Chase is a do it all type of WR and Marshall has great size and length.

Sucks that Marshall has been hurt because he was starting to get very comfortable and in a groove. People forget that he tore his ACL and didn’t play his senior year of high school. So he was coming off a torn ACL and just getting back healthy and playing football last year. Hate that his growth has been slowed again due to injury because we haven’t seen him at his best yet, though it looked like he was trending that way before the injury. Hopefully he picks up right where he left off. Just having him back on the field this week will be impactful in terms of how Auburn matches up against us.
