He threw the ball to a receiver with 4 defenders. Not exactly the smartest thing to do.

I must be blind, never saw this.

He threw to a tall WR with two defenders, and it turned out well.

Some people need to watch the NFL today. You have to throw into coverage and trust your QB to put it in the right spot at times. Aaron Rodgers has made a living doing this.

Yep, every QB. Manziel won a Heisman doing this with Evans.

I don't want him benched but I'm excited about the future potential in Brennan.

The ball seems to get from Brennan to the receivers so quickly it almost seems like an optical illusion. Probably one of the reasons for Sullivan's drop.

Even with OBJ and Landry in 2013, we couldn't separate because of our playcalling. It was just NFL players making plays over college athletes in tight coverage.

Our WRs are a strength of the team now. What I saw last night and against BYU were wide open receivers. With an elite defense, we are still playing conservative offense.

Either way, our WRs look the part, run crisp routes, they're fast as hell, create separation and are catching the football (minus the TD drop). Chark looks like our next great WR to come through LSU.

He is as good as any.

Two PR for TD's, one called back.

I'm worried about State. We will have a much much better understanding of how good LSU actually is after this game.

but in years past that kid is a serviceable 2nd stringer at LSU!

Has he not started every single game that he has been healthy while at LSU?

The starting d-line next week should be : key , lawerence , e. alexander, Chaison. Gilmore is better than last year but when lawerence and E. Alexander are in there they put so much more pressure on the opposing QB.LaCouture and gilmore should be backups going into Sec play. We need the best players starting.

Ed Alexander is too fat to play more than a play or 2 at a time. It's really disappointing he came into his 2nd season in such bad shape. Cause you're right, Gilmore is not great. But he's the best we got.

It was a middle of the road FCS school with a backup QB. I know I'm in the minority here, but I do not think we looked like world beaters last night. The oline did not dominate like they should. There is REAL concern there. Danny threw several ill advised balls (into double and TRIPLE coverage!). Against better teams, those are turnovers, not long completions. UTC moved the ball against us and if it wasn't for some timely, great plays (giving credit to LSU here), UTC would have scored more.

BYU is bad. UTC is not good. I don't think LSU is nearly as good as it appears against the cupcakes.

I do love the young DBs. Those boys are good

This may be totally off, but 6 weeks from now I could also see it being very accurate.

He will not do that against any of our SEC opponents. That's 2 picks easily.

I'm not a sunshine pumper by any means, but Etling has never been prone to ints. Maybe he knows he can throw those against scrubs, but not in the SEC. Because you are right, those are picks.

Just a bad game overall

You would have thought we lost by reading some of these comments.

It is very hard to come into a game like Chattanooga and be over the top excited, alert, or motivated.

We did win 45-10. 45-10! They had 2 drives. 2!

You're no LSU fan. Bad moments come with the good. Saying it was an overall bad game is out of this world stupid.

Other than a lot of stupid penalties, we looked great last night. Things really started clicking with the new schemes on both sides of the ball. Next week at MSU is going to be something to see.

LSU has to fix or loss of games (winnable battles) will determine HC Edward Orgeron's immediate future.

We need to cut down on penalties but the 03 and 07 team were some of the most penalized teams in the SEC

With a past coach, if we had penalties, terrible FG kicking, averaged a fairly low ypc, didn't cover the spread, and completed 9 passes....this board would've shut down.

The negative Nancies are either..

Fans of the old regime
Fans of a backup QB
Drama queens.

There's little to pick apart now, maybe after this weekend.

I'm hoping you're being sarcastic. If not, and that's your take from the game, youre hopeless.

Our starters were out by the 3rd quarter. We played soft schematically, using the game to work out some basic kinks.
