And you think we will get to 18 wins playing the way we are and the crappy coaching? Even if we get to host do u think we can win it. Then win a super on the road against top notch pitching with the way this team is hitting?

ok, Paul. It's gonna be alright, you can take that sweet voice of yours that sounds like a bitch and go frick up another game for us.
I hope you're not a grown man with that emotional stability.

There's a large enough sample of play to form an opinion on this team one way or another. I think the one thing that neither side can argue and that both sides are clinging to is that this is baseball. And anything can happen in baseball.
I'll admit though, I just can't seem to put myself on the positive side. I have not seen this team perform at a consistent enough level at any point this season to give me any confidence that they can make a long run in postseason play.

Well, we have one of LSU's best fielding teams ever. That's a big plus.
Now, if we could get consistent pitching and hits with RISP we'd be unbeatable! :-
True statement! However, PM doesn't seem to have the tools to get his pitchers or his hitters heads screwed on correctly in order to accomplish this!

The 1 thru 4 hole hitters went a combined 1 for 15 last night. That should only happen a hand full of times in a season, but it seams like it happens once a weekend. And that one hit was the double when Freeman was thrown out on third. Very poor production from the top of the order. In all fairness however, they drew a few walks.

I don't think they are close to being bad. The main problem is they lack real team leadership.

There is something fundamentally wrong with the team chemistry, lack of leadership, etc. They do have talent IMHO, but seem to be playing as individuals and not as a team. The last time I saw any fire was when B Jordan hit a home run in that last game against FLA. So many chances. bases loaded, off pitcher and one out and can't score 1 run???

Down to 19th in rpi now with the loss last night. If we can't win the next 2 this team looking at a 2or 3 seed and on the road.

Little guys with not much pop,
LSU's OBP is pretty good to not win more games, and I think CPM needs to call some games more in line with his recruiting efforts to mfg runs.
Anyhow, Geaux Tigers. Chicken Dinner tonite!

Well most of the people here agree with me, soooooooooooo that makes you the stupid one, no?
Really? You're going to use The Rant agreeing with you as your basis for being right? I don't think I would put that on my resume.

Just because you arent a top 8 seed, doesnt mean you cant host a super regional
Posted on 5/6/17 at 5:14 pm to josh336
No but you need an upset in another regionall to host one

I believe LSU is tied for 2nd in SEC BA.

I agree with everything OP said except two things.
1. There are very few gentlemen on TD.
2. Les Miles was a far better coach and motivator than PM is, has been or ever will be.

the media really needs to put Paul on blast. it's a fricking joke that he gets an absurd raise and extension, and he goes a hilariously lazy route by hiring two ga's for jobs they're way in over their heads for
I obviously don't think Maineri should be fired, but he needs some heat put on him. I used to defend him, but this is getting old fast.
All we heard from Paul was how he now realizes how appreciated here at LSU with the players and AD wanting him to stay, but he sure as hell hasn't reciprocated the love with this halfass coaching job

Lol, les was fired. Obviously he wasnt a good enough motivator. Also he has had his teams finish the regular season the last 5 straight years, which miles wasnt really close to. Dont even try to compare them. Did he frick up the hitting coach hire? Yeah, but there is no comparison between the two

That I agree with. CPM never had to coach against the GOAT HC in his sport in his division and play against him every year.
