I don't see how you nitwits are still bitching about Orgeron after 19 wins in the last 2 years and a NYD 6 Bowl win this year and a recruiting class rated as highly as #3 in the country.
Alleva deserves credit for doing his job and yes he deserves credit for both hires.

There isn't another school in the country that would have hired Alleva as its AD after the Duke lacrosse fiasco.
There isn't another school in the country that would hire Ed Orgeron as its HC.
There isn't another school in the country that would hire Steve Ensminger as its OC.

Alleva gets credit. Alleva hired Nunez. WW is Alleva's best hire, imo, in his tenure. (note: I would fire Alleva tomorrow if I were in charge.)
Contrary to what some believe, Joe Alleva knows little about basketball. He is a football man and he played football. Duke hired him to bolster its football program. Alleva had ZERO to do with Duke BB because Coach K runs that program 100%.

No. Miles was fired for blowing 2 games in the 1st 4 by losing to Wisconsin and Auburn. He was 2-2 and had promised he would be changing things up at the end of the previous season. Miles made zero changes and the wheels were about to come off the LSU Football team and would have had Alleva not stepped in and fired Miles.
Miles had lost the team and Orgeron stepped in and salvaged the season and beat the crap out of Louisville in the bowl game. That is what happened.
