We all get it and we’re all on the same page. Paul will be replaced if this continues.
But comparing Paul to smoke is like comparing Les to Dinardo.
Paul’s skins are on the wall and when he leaves he’ll be one of only 2 baseball coaches to ever win a national title for LSU.
And one of 6 coaches to ever win a national title in one of the big 3 for LSU.
The time has come but y’all are reaching with some of this stupid shite
This always happen when it's time to move on from a coach. Ridiculous statemnts are made and past accomplishments are completely devalued. Same thing happened with Les Miles and will happen to the next long-time coach we have when it's time for him to go. Paul's expiration date is here, but to try to put him on even footing or even lower footing as Smoke Laval is just hilariously dumb. When Mainieri took over Smoke's program, we were completely devoid of any talent. Those are facts, and facts everyone accepted back in 2007. If this is Mainieri's last season here, whoever takes over won't have that same problem.

Smoke's problem was having all his recruits sign professional contracts. He was horrible at signing kids who would actually make it to campus.

Paul did make a championship series in the past 5 years but besides that yeah pretty disappointing.
Honestly the comparison between Les and Paul is so accurate.

Well, first off, he didn't. Mainieri was extended, by Joe Alleva, in 2016 when Texas was trying to hire him.

Really???? Those teams turned out to be for real. No business? You think this is like a merit system or something. That is sports. It rarely turns out the way you think will once the game starts.
