really? it's that simple? Also, to say this implies Les is not a good coach. Please look at his record and accomplishments. Again, you really think you could get any sane human to agree with you that he's not? Leave the haters out of it and just ask someone say from the big 12. Come on Slo is that all you got?

Would you like a Redux or Mulligan on your 2007 "Expactations" :fail: ?
Also..which BCS College Coach is averaging over 10 wins a seasons & ready for employment? Or as it's known outside of Louisiana, the 4-5 year option on early Retirement?

First: I have always thought the notion of "Saban Players" to be totally ludicrous. They are "LSU" players.
Second: Les Miles is not Nick Saban. Never has, Never will be.
Third: It has always amazed me about the Love fest Saban worshippers have with him as he was one of the most cockiest, egotistical individuals I have ever seen. From the moment he set foot on campus as LSU's head coach, we lived under the spector of him going to the NFL. EVERY SEASON we had to wait out his decision of whether he was leaving or not. His heart was obviously not with LSU. It was all about his career and money.
Fourth: Les proved his loyalty when he chose LSU over Michigan (his beloved alma mater). That was not good enough for LSU fans. National Championships are all that matter and an abiltity to speak coherently, something Les struggles with sometimes.
Solution: The solution is always and always will be winning. Les has proven to be an outstanding recruiter. But his teams just don't play discliplined football. His game day strategys need improvement. Players who were top notch recruits seem to not develop to their full potential. I'm not sure whay that is.
For Les to move out of that Saban shadow, he has to win with his players beating him head to head in a "winner take all" SEC West showdown.

IMO, Les Miles is a "good" coach, his achievements and record at LSU has proven that without a doubt. The current SEC landscape is such that it takes a "great" coach/manager/developer of a program and a hell of a lot of luck, to succeed.

Thanks RT but Slo's "fix it" is to hire a good coach.

This is what I expected, a few turds just vomiting "fire Les" with no thought of what that would do.
Go read the other 500 threads with the same damn arguments dipshit.

Butch Davis
Bobby Petrino
Tommy Tuberville
Gary Patterson
Chris Petersen
Jack Del Rio
all coaches we probably could have had at some point or could get now that would be better than Les Miles.

Dallas, that's just it, I don't see many solutions. All i see is dumbasses like you repeating what the mob says. Fire Les, wow I really enjoy the awesome idea but there has to be more to it or we're not moving forward.
Prove me wrong and let's hear what you think smart guy.

It's all just a bunch of shite-slinging til this year can be evaluated at season's end anyway.
Take it from me, you change HC's and things can get a WHOLE lot worse before they get better. IMO, there are no "sure thing" HC's available right now.
Seriously, do LSU fans really want to take a chance like Auburn (Chizik) or Tennessee (Dooley), or like MSU (Mullen), or shite even like OM (Nutt)? Trying to be logical, I would think not.

Les is apparently a solid recruiter but you have to be a complete moron to suck at it at LSU nowadays. He's poor in developing talent. He's obviously not good at in-game management... What else is there to say? I mean look at these kids playing QB. They are absolutely lost.

Why? To listening to a bunch of chatty women?

Obviously we need to fight Saban to the death in recruiting for all the same guys as all his recruits are capable of coaching and developing players for NCs out of HS.

yes
look at bama under saban, UF under meyer, USC under carroll, OU under stoops, etc

So what you got Ell? I'm not saying you're wrong just that if the AD is too dumb to figure out what you say you have then what makes you think he'll hire the right guy?
What coach do you think we would get?

Like yourself you mean? You are the one that is hanging to your dads pant leg like a frightened school girl.
At least admit that LM is as sharp as a marble...go ahead, you can do it.

I posted the list above. I think we could have almost all of them if we wanted besides one. Petrino.

Les really chose loyalty when he signed a contract that extended after an 8 win season with a $20 million buyout. Miles may be the most expensive coach in college, because we have to pay coordinators an insane amount of money. What does Les bring to the table as far as coaching? Recruiting isn't enough
Meyer brings offense, saban defense, miles...?
