Do the math for me

Because this is what was said against WF too, and unless you think Hurd had 6-7 scoreless in him, we’d be home now

So you have a PhD in biomechanics

Anyone that goes on Jordy’s show instantly loses credibility!

LOL. Anyone who doesn't think Skip wouldn't start Skenes when he was coaching never watched LSU baseball. Has nothing to do with what he said today. He would start Skenes and probably told JJ he would start Skenes.
So Skip is lying?

But as usual you crawfish on your totally ignorant baseball takes

I have no opinion on who pitches when. I am glad we have a lot of data for the coaches to use while making the decision

It’s his team and his decision. Has nothing to do with ranter thinking he knows more baseball than Skip Bertman

That’s not what the guy said
He was inferring Skip ruined Ben

Who else would you rather close out the last 3 or 4 innings with a one or two run lead than Skenes in the deciding game of the national championship?
Makes total sense man.

Well no shite it does.
What happens if you have to bring him in down 3-4 runs and the bats are still not clutch.
At least you get to see him again I guess

Skip isn't lying. As I said before what he says now and what he did as coach are 2 different things. So as a coach 20 years ago he would definitely pitch Skenes. And anyone who watched LSU baseball then knows it.

I'm not a big fan of Jordy Culotta but Doug Thompson can promote himself however he chooses and I enjoy listening to his point of view (that being Doug Thompson not Jordy).

It’s not my problem that you’re too stupid to draw a proper inference.
I never said the first thing about Skip ruining Ben’s arm. But if you ever saw Ben pitch at LSU, you’d know that Skip rode that horse for as long as he could.

Lol skip would have started skenes all three games

What if you’re down 6 runs in the 6th? Gonna go to the mat without giving your best player a shot?
That’s certainly an argument to start him, and one that I’ve made against saving him to close. You risk it being too late and the game being out of hand with the best pitcher in baseball on the bench.
But we were just considering 2 scenarios—starting him or saving him to close. But I thin the smartest play is one mentioned earlier in the thread. Have him ready to come in at the highest leverage part of the game so it doesn’t get out of hand. If that’s the 4th and he gets you through 7, so be it. If you have a lead and can hold him till the 7th or 8th, even better.

Won’t have 3 innings if it’s 8-3 again in the 6th
