In retrospect, I realize you were shitting on Pirate and not so much McMahon. Yeah, frick that guy. I apologize for posting in such haste. I had a long day watching really bad softball in upper 30 degrees weather, missed both the LSU baseball and basketball games, and just wanted to get on here, wind down, and catch up on all the positivity. And I was a little disappoint. But it is the Rant, and that is on me. I should have known better.

My take on the phenomenon is that on forums such as this one, it becomes very desirable to be right or to show those who disagree with us wrong, more so than visceral hate.

So much so that being seen as right and winning the argument becomes more important than your team winning or a particular player on your team playing well, or a coach doing well. The stake has been planted Re: a strong opinion and defending that becomes the goal even ahead of the team or player or coach doing well.

What makes this a very impressive win is that teams that get blown out usually come back doubly focused to erase that performance. Add that to being an away game for LSU, and I’m shocked we won. I thought we were catching them at almost the worst time. Add to that not having Cook available, and it is impressive. Reed and Ward are slowly becoming more consistent players.

Great win that the program needed. Results for all the hard work. Really like Coach MM. If he ever gets the personel he will be dangerous in the SEC. But that is a big if. Right now right this second he is on track considering what he started with. Next year is year three and right now we do not look better on paper. The USCe away win was impressive, even though they may not be as good as their ranking suggested, however the win against Kentucky is impressive no matter what, because they are a good away team! These types of wins will be tremendous for recruiting, because it shows recruits the passion they want to experience, and that CMM can coach. I think he has erased last year's stain that had to make recruits question him. I get what you're saying about how our team looks on paper next year since we're losing a lot of talent, but with Williams, Reed and Ward's development, and these types of performances, I think this will help him recruit some better transfers to make us better on paper next year.
