not this shite again.

As already said. I'd rather McNeese than App St! All schools schedule a cupcake, its not going to stop, esp with the $$ and pressure for winning championships! I'm an LSU alum living in LC, and I can guarantee McNeese will bring more of crowd than Vandy would bring in! LSU does think about ticket sales too you know. In state games draw more state interest....plain and simple.

I don't mind throwing the in state FCS schools a bone every now and then. Just not every year.

And you may be right, there was a great suggestion a while back about Texas A & M and having that game brought back....but in trying to win a championship year after year, when in Rome...

You honestly picked the worst year ever to make this complaint.

No shite. LSU likely plays the toughest OOC schedule in the country next year. Despite going out of his way to project such a hard-arse persona, Sarge sure does seem like a count.

i would love to play southeastern too. we play in the toughest conference in the world. if we had a playoff then yea, play tougher schools. but as long as it's all about the polls, id love to see, tulane, la tech, ul monroe, ul laffayette, southern, gramblin, southeastern, mcneese. 4 of those every year out of conference.

besides, you lose to those powers, you'll be bitching that our schedule is too hard.

The Louisiana schools are a joke most years. If we're gonna play one consistently, it should be Tulame.

Since that series is done, let's play someone who at least respectable... Southern Miss, Houston, etc.

Sarge you are an idiot... Schools use these type of games as a week to be able to heal the injured for the most part ... What do you want, play a top 25 team every week? Have you ever played football?

McNeese St......are you kidding me. Nice job LSU. Yeah I know, brings money into the state, who cares. It is an embarrassment. We might as well throw in Southern and Southeastern while we are at it.

We have talked to Southern in the past and they didn't want to play us. I have also heard that we actually are considering Southeastern for a future game.

The bottom line is that Skip Bertman (who began this practice of scheduling in-state schools again) has always felt a duty to help other schools in the state in multiple sports, even if it resulted in harm to LSU. That would be OK if they were paying his salary, but I would have hoped his loyalty to the school that signs his paychecks would be undivided. Apparently, that was too much to ask.

West Virginia and North Carolina?

Both were ranked in the Top 25 last year. LSU's OOC schedule is one of the toughest in the country this year.

West Virginia finished last season ranked right behind LSU as a matter of fact. I've got no problem with McNeese coming in. What you can't do is schedule 3-4 cupcakes, ala FSU '09. I've read quite a few boards (cfb) that have been giving LSU props for their OOC schedule.

Is there a difference among the three? Me thinks not.
