He was the best SS I saw play this week.
Which game can I scan to find a highlight from him? He looked like any other SS in the LSU game. I’m not intending to come off as a smartass btw. I’m genuinely interested in how his reputation was upheld last week.

would be wise for him to move back to 2b for his draft year so he can get all the accolades that he got his freshman season in his most natural position/projected position. We have to remember this guy was an all American 2b and moved to SS and got no recognition for it. He did a phenomenal job! way better than projected.
Agree with the projection at second. However, showing he can play both middle infield positions is a huge plus. Bregman can play SS but is a great third baseman and learned to play the position in pro ball so I don’t think it would be an issue. Switches hitting third baseman, SS or second baseman will always get attention over a player that doesn’t possess those skills. If he gets to the majors and plays a utility role for 5-8 years consider that a great career and will be able to live comfortably for the rest of his life being successful in another career - perhaps coaching.
You never know what life will have in store for you.

He’ll be fine and play for a long time
He's the size of Altuve, which puts him squarely behind the 8 ball, but if he can hit like Altuve he can paly 2b in the big leages. Great hands can't be taught and his hands are elite

He was late and ncaa official wouldn’t let him in as the session had already started.

He made a mental mistake
Agreed, but baseball is a game of pre-play mental preparation. What I mean is, before the ball is hit or the pitch made for the next play, really good baseball players are prepared mentally for what they are going to do in a particular situation should the ball be hit in their direction.
I assure you that before the ball may have been hit in his direction, Steven Milam would have already gone through the scenario in his mind. He would have known there was 1 out and the runner on second scoring ment nothing with a 2 run lead. He would have known that even if the double play wasn’t turned the runner from first would have been out a second and the tying run would not have been in scoring position.
That was more than just a mental error at that position in the ballgame. Good players don’t make that mistake, certainly, elite players like Alloy was made out to be, should NEVER make that mistake.
Elite SS’s make the play Milam made in the early innings where he went to his right, slid to field the ball and popped up to make a MLB throw for the out against Alloy.

bullshite excuse. Moral of that story is BE ON TIME. Then you don’t have to deal with these kinds of situations. Bet if Arkansas had won he would have been the first one there to bask in the accolades.

im sure he had other things on his mind than showing up to be asked a bunch of stupid questions. let him comfort his teammates as long as he wants.he was probably the one needing to be comforted ,i bet. he shouldn't have to do a press conference after that if he doesn't want to.
