Sounds right to me.

That poll is downright stupid. The dude that compliled that shite should lose his job. What an idiot. Half of USC's team is gone. New QB. Pure stupidity.

I'm going to lose so much sleep until they revise this pole and put LSU in the top 10. I mean, it's April, shouldn't they know that we are going to be better by August???

>Why do people keep thinking USC will be top 10 this year when they have lost almost all the starters? <
Its a rule that they have to suck USC's arse.

USC returns 9 starters on offense.
They do only return 3 starters on defense, but it's much easier to rebuild a defense than it is to rebuild an offense. (I.E. 2007 Ohio State, where they had 10 new starters on defense or something crazy like that but still had a pretty good D and made the national title game) I don't see a problem with USC up there. They will probably only lose two games at most this season.

Ole Miss at 7 is a damn joke.

Memphis will beat Ole Miss 1st game of the season
That would be like Christmas coming early for me
The only thing better would be Memphis beating Tennessee as well

I disagree, LSU should be about 6th or 7th..
No way those other teams are better than LSU..
Yeah we lost 5 games..but we have a QB now....and a DC.. Big difference from last year
LSU's talent will start to be realized this season...
LSU is not top 5, but is top 10 easily....
Alabama has to show me they have a QB to deserve a top 10..
TCU, Boise sTate? Okies State, VT better than LSU?
Please!
LSU will defeat Ole Miss in oxford

USC has at least two future first rounders on defense in FS Taylor Mays and DE Everson Griffin. They've got the best secondary in the country returning and more speed at LB this year.
Posted on 4/29/09 at 2:23 pm to Dr Rosenrosen
USC doesn't play that tough a schedule IMHO...thus they should win 10 games easily each year..
That's top 10 material
With their recruiting, they should be top 5 every year
If JJ has a break out year, LSU will be top 5 good

Right where we started in '03 as I recall.

I'm a lil surprised USC is that high, without a decent qb in there back pocket
Since 03, they have an unseasoned QB (other than Sanchez with 3 games) start the season three times. They've finished no lower than fourth.

Naw, this poll has us a little higher.

That poll is totally bogus...no Clemson in the top 25, give me a break...
It is a tradition to put them in the pre-season poll until they lose 4 games or so on their way to a 6 loss season...

My main complaints:
Ole Miss at 7 (a bit too low...)
Oregon at 8 (like seriously??)
Georgia Tech at 14
The rest is expected..

USC is number 4? Damn, I figured as long as the university was still open they were automatically number 1 at the start of every year.....
+1
I guess losing your starting QB and 75 starting defensive players means they drop all the way to #4

I'm not disputing this... They were solid last year, but the more hype they get to win the West this year, the better, as far as I'm concerned. Let's see how they fare as the frontrunner.
