Not stupid enough to believe having higher expectations of a new coach (comparative to the one who was fired), means people hate the new coach.

He’s done a better job than most of us expected.

I will say that he's exceeded my expectations. You think because of that we should have no doubts going forward?
Right now, he's still a far cry from having proven himself as the answer for LSU football, which is what I thought we wanted in the first place. Or did we want to be a proving ground so that a previously horrid head coach could turn into an ok one? If that was the goal of hiring him, let me know.
That's how it is when you're the head coach. You never stop proving yourself. Now we're waiting on some hardware, division title, something. I don't think that's an unreasonable request at this point in his tenure.

It obviously is for some. In this thread alone there's one guy who has claimed that o has done nothing but make the right moves since taking over the program even though his first OC hire only lasted one year, we've lost at least 3 games per year his first two full seasons and have finished third in the SEC West both years. Not to mention the WTF losses to teams we had no business losing to.
Then another poster goes on and on about how we'll be competing for NC's every year. No more of that every 4 year bullshite we went through between 2003 to 2011.
Maybe it's just fans wearing their P&G glasses I guess, but I'm gonna take a wait and see approach.
It'll be nice if it happens, but o hasn't come close to any of that yet.

Yeah, those are nice ideas, but it has to be backed up by results at some point. You can't have a 10-2 or 9-3 season thiis year and say "we comin." This is the time to arriive, when you're favored in all but one game this season.

Yes. Perhaps this will be the year we get some results. But as of the end of last season, we aren't where we want to be.
Unless people are happy with 3 or 4 loss seasons and third place finishes in our division.

In all seriousness we are going to need to get to the next level. Eventually if not, O will be replaced. I just love all the internet tough guy talk from those wonderful people who think they know it all and won't give O any credit to support their narrow minded agenda. Despise a...s like that.
