Should we try to block a punt tonight?

Last week Ed Paris nearly did it, and honestly should have, he just pulled up so he wouldn’t get penalized for roughing the kicker if he missed the ball. I also just saw that SELU was trying to rugby style punt tonight to prevent big returns. Do y’all think this would be a good opportunity for us to go after one and try to block it? Honestly can’t remember the last time we actually did block a punt.

Looked to me like Paris did get a piece of the ball. The rotation seemed to change and the ball went sideways and out-of-bounds. If he didn't get the partial block he just as well had because he certainly altered the punt and ensuing field position.

Will happen at some point and might be more than once. Mike D talked about it this week. McMahon is very aggressive with his block team both punt and kicking.

I think that first punt probably got into the punter's head. Whether or not it was tipped, it should have been, and I think the punter was worried the rest of the game.
Definitely wouldn't hurt to attempt the same against Southeastern.

Absolutely not! Won’t need it tonight. Save that stuff for Auburn. I would focus more on return game.
