I am only saying this if he is only wanted for questioning in someone else's alibi, and has nothing to do with the case.

If he is just wanted for an alibi, the BR police fricked this kid over, costing him millions of dollars as a first round draft pick, like predicted. There was no reason for them to release this info just before the draft.

Sorry if already discussed.

Exactly how has he been defamed by BRPD as of now?

I don't disagree with what you are saying except the "LSU" part. LSU had nothing to do with this - the target would be the BRPD.

I think a good lawyer could easily prove this. He went from being a first round draft pick in the NFL to where no one will even talk to him all because BRPD released his name in a murder case, even when they say he is not a suspect. Try do this two days before the draft, costing him a multi-million dollar contract.

I corrected that earlier in the thread, I meant BRPD, not LSU.

I don't know how solid his standing would be, but I would absolutely encourage him to do so. This was handled very unprofessionally by the department.

So the police should worry more about screwing over a kid's draft stock than finding the person who killed an 8-month pregnant woman?

Legal match com definition:

Defamation of character is the legal term for harming someone's reputation by making false statements. To prove defamation, a plaintiff must show: The statement reflected negatively on the plaintiff's reputation."

Did BRPD give false statements towards him, who knows? Over half of that definition is fitting. A good lawyer could probably prove the other half.

All they've said is that they want to talk to him. The rest is just awful timing

What'd they say that was false? They said they wanted to talk to him in the murder case of his ex-girlfriend, they've actually said he's NOT a suspect.

Don't know how it's BRPD's fault this woman was gunned down less than a week before the draft
