The playoffs are a long, grueling few weeks against some tough defenses. With a win against A&M this weekend, and clinching a playoff berth, it may be a good idea to let some of our key players get an extra week of rest and limit the chances of injuries.
You'll get downvoted into oblivion, but your logic is actually sound (if the committee actually works the way we've been told it works).
LSU goes 12-0 and has the #1 or #2 spot going into championship weekend. Nobody has any doubt that they shouldn't be in the Top 4.
So why should LSU have to prove itself yet again? We've been told that the committee takes into consideration things like injuries to key players when a team lost.
If LSU were to sit its starters in the SECCG, why should that count against them? They clearly didn't play their best players. So it's asinine to drop them in the rankings if they lose. They play their way to a 12-0 record and potential #1 ranking, and then suddenly they are not deserving anymore because their backups lost to a Top-5 team? That doesn't make any fricking sense, and it completely flies in the face of how the committee is supposed to function in that they are supposed to "look beyond Ws and Ls."
Nobody will be able to form a logical rebuttal to this argument, other than "Rabble, rabble SEC championship trophy, rabble, rabble"
Either that, or "rabble, rabble, the UGA fan wants LSU to sit its starters."
I don't. I'm just making a point about how retarded this committee/playoff system is.

EXACTLY.

This is dumb. We're not Alabama. LSU is a lock to make the playoffs but don't give the committee a chance to screw over LSU. All it takes for them to do is say, "Winning your conference matters... this time."

WTF? First, there's a 3 week break between the SECCG and the semis to rest. Second, winning the SEC is still a prestigious accolade that smart Tiger fans still want.
Good point about the 3 weeks.

We should sit the whole team and let the cheerleaders play.
That would be ok. Guarantee LSU's cheerleaders could easily defeat their "yell leaders".

Are you fricking stupid?
We Play TAMU on 11/30, SEC championship on 12/7/19. Then have 3 weeks to rest before the 1st playoff game on 12/28/19, then another 2.5 weeks off before the Championship on 1/13/20.
there is plenty of rest in the schedule.
