LINK

Matt moscano dropped a post spring depth chart prediction video recently and in it it seemed he gave the vets the nod over the youngsters with a higher ceiling. He had Cooley starting next to AJ over spears
Stamps over Pickett
Gooden over McKinley

So this posses the question: will Kelly opt to go with experience playing in a hostile environment or will he trust young puppies like Pickett, McKinley and spears to be out there snap 1 ?

I don’t agree with the Stamps over Pickett prediction. Pickett is way too talented to have a guy like Stamps start over him regardless of experience level. Even if Kelly does start out with Stamps, it won’t be for long. Or it better not be.

You’re not leaving Pickett on the bench against Moore Wesco and Williams.

IMO your starters

QB Nuss
RB Durham
WR Brown
WR Anderson
WR Hilton
TE Green/Sharp
OT Adams
LG Thompson
C Moore
RG Chester
RT Davis

DE Pyburn
DT Gooden
DT Guillory
EDGE Payton
LB Weeks
LB Keys
STAR Perkins
CB1 Delane
CB2 Pickett
SS Cooley
FS Haulcy

I'm sure it'll vary from position to position. FSU gave us a cautionary tale of a team of transfers last season. I hope all will be great but I'm sure some wont

All things being equal maybe, but you’re not starting Stamps over Pickett. Clemson has future NFL dudes on the perimeter.

To be honest, I’m not sure Stamps is the third option even with Jackson.

Very simple, you go with the players who give you the best chance to win. Not complicated.

This is an easy answer. Play the best player. Football, and everything else in life really, should be a meritocracy.

I think it will be Domanick McKinley and Ahmad Breaux starting at DT. They both started and showed they could be studs last year. I don’t see either of them getting benched.

Guillory and Gooden will rotate in as part of the 2-deep.

Cooley is a stud. There’s no way a blue-chip transfer like Cooley is going to sit behind DaShawn Spears….nor should he regardless of experience.

According to spring reports spears was the best safety in camp and outperformed Cooley. Blake Ruffini in his depth chart prediction actually had spears starting ahead of Cooley. Spears was a top 60 guy with elite athleticism. His ceiling is probably higher than Cooley’s if the lightbulb was switched to on for him that’s a potential playmaker asa. Centerfielder
