Dude what did JB do to you? Do you know him personally? Someone coached those kids to the Final Four, there have been plenty of more talented teams who didn't go to the final four. Trent Johnson would love to have his record and a final four ring. The only success he had here was with JB's players including storm warren this year.
LSU should always get the best players in the state and TJ made no effort to get the best players in this state. Malik Morgan is really the only descent player he signed in four years here from Louisiana, he was coming here no matter what.
For you to think there are not guys like collis temple and others on every campus in this country is ignorant. TJ turning his back on guys like that is the reason he is going to the mountain west conference and leaving the SEC who ever heard of that. Brady looks like john wooden compared to TJ. If you would get over your bitterness and be realistic about JB's career here, he brought in some big time talent. He had some serious bad luck with critical injuries and NBA lottery picks, take that scenario out and JB would still be here. You need to get over your bitterness towards guys who only want LSU bb to be successful, you can't do it alone just ask TJ. It is critical LSU gets an LSU guy who understands SEC caliber talent and what it takes to get them here. The enviroment at LSU will never change and no one is gonna change that. Coming in here and telling LSU guys to take a hike will never work unless you win. His ego and hardheadness was his demise here. TJ IMO was as bad a hire as Curly was. The two worst hires in LSU sports history, maybe Smoke also.

I'd be down with the shady types though. I'd be happy with Drew or Floyd. Recruiting is 90 percent of the game in college.

I agree with this. He's also been at Baylor since 2003 and built them from quite literally nothing. The reason other coaches in the conference hate him is that he is an aggressive recruiter and they are used to Baylor sucking. It pisses everyone off that Baylor is now good.
He is a negative recruiter which irritates me, but whatever. He also hired an AAU coach as an assistant, a pretty standard tactic, but then John Wall went to Kentucky. The case against Drew is really thin. He's not a cheater but he isn't making friends.

Basically took the words out of my mouth. I follow Baylor basketball very closely. Closer than LSU over the past few years.
He'd be a home run hire. I literally don't see how it wouldn't work out. He really can't coach worth a damn on the court, but that's honestly not that big of a deal when you have the players that he does.
He is good out of timeouts though. And he seems like a really nice, positive guy.
I just don't know if he'd leave Baylor. He's built a nice place for himself over there.
There are honestly a lot of great options out there right now. I hope we can land one of them.

I brought his name up in the context of recruiting LA. Not some TJ vs. Brady dick measuring contest that doesn't matter anymore because they're both gone and never coming back. I've never seen someone take this much time to defend a guy as you do with Brady when he's been gone for so long. Yeah, I've had the opportunity to be around him and he sucks. So what. He's not here, neither is TJ, anything said about these two guys is in the context of the next coach and the talent/ability to recruit LA. Not some attempt to bring up the merits or lack thereof of either coach. You are literally obsessed with Brady, and suck his dick every opportunity you have. It's sad.

I like Bruce Pearl, but he is not worth the risk. We'd right back on probation in 3 years. In case people haven't noticed with these coaches they are what are and have been.
Look at Tressel. He's been cheating and in scandals since Youngstown days. Caught up with him at tOSU.
Same with Kelvin Sampson, Floyd, Sandusky, Petrino, Brady, and Butch Davis just to name a few with Scott Drew up next.

It's 2012, basketball recruiting is a dirty game. We need a guy that will play the game. Scott Drew is that guy.
