That is because JJ is the answer. He can pass very well and run pretty well. I have not drank the RS koolaid yet. I don't believe that Pat White's second coming is necessarily the answer for LSU.
And I'm from Kingwood/Austin.

It's amazing what one year of college football experience and one more year of age does for maturation of a player. I really think there will be a battle between Lee and Jefferson. Shep is going to be good, he is going to be a freshman, that's what will hurt. The speed difference from H.S. to D1 is unbelievable. We will be fine at QB next year. They will have months to watch game film and improve on their skills. We'll all see a huge difference.

I think there is a chance he doesnt even come here.

JJ is a better passer than Pryor and Shepard.
Yeah I mean JJ does complete something like 41% I doubt either of them can accomplish that.

YOU said JJ is a better passer than PRYOR!
I said according to WHO?
OK I get you now. Again.....according to me. You are free to disregard my opinion, and you obviously will. That is fine. I am still allowed to express it.
Pryor floats the ball.

Unnecessary. Clarify your question and we won't run into these little problems.

I have a niece in the registrar's office. He's already enrolled. He'll be here, don't worry, starting Jan. 2009...

There are too many opportunities here for him. We need mobile quarterbacks, I just don't know how good of a passer he'll be, at least right away. I hope they redshirt him.

I misread your question. There's no need to get your panties in a wad over it.

Everyone seems to forget Lee was a Fisher recruit. Crowton inherited him. Crowton's offense is based on a mobile QB. It is going to take a few years, (we're going into 3 with Crowton) before we see his offense really flourish (he needs his recruits). He came here averaging over 400 yds a game, fairly balanced on the run/pass. Sit back, enjoy the off season, wait for 2009. We'll all be surprised....

That's from scout.
his technique isn't great, but it's better than JJ's. and while jefferson was a more accurate passer in high school he really hasn't shown much with his passing this year. if neither of them are great passers at the college level shep should get the nod because he's FAR superior as a dual threat QB

Let's just let him get to camp and compete with Lee, Jefferson, Garrett, and Hatch. Whoever wins a five way QB battle is pretty good. Out of those 5, one of them should bring some stability to the position. Here are a few comments about each.
Lee: quick release, stong arm, bad descion making. Willing to give him another shot next year if he cuts down on the ints. and just calms down.
JJ: Strong arm, has some mobility that could be compared to Flynn. Needs to work on his throwing motion, as he has a big Bryon Leftwich like windup. Seems to protect the ball better than Lee and will scan the field for receivers.
Hatch: decent runner, no arm stength. Not really anyting that you havn't already seen before. Probally won't be a factor next year.
Shep: phenomanal runner, makes plays with his feet and arm, and doesn't throw many interceptions on the h.s. level. Pretty good throwing motion. Like Lee, he doesn't scan the field based on his videos. Unlike Lee, he can run well so he has some options if no one is open.
Garrett: Best qb in Mississippi. Big, strong armed QB that doesn't turn the ball over. Could be a very good prospect but might have to wait for a couple of years. In ideal situation, he should be redshirted.

What type of Quarterback did we win both National Championships with? The one's that
Shepard's talents lean toward.....Good decision making, Mobility & instinct to make the plays needed in clutch situations. That being said, I think he'll be as good or better than Matt Mauck and Matt Flynn......SHEPARD, your a natural born
LSU Tiger..
