alright - not starting an argument with you

but who would he have beaten out at RB?

Seriously, I want to know why you think he was so good?

he didn't "beat" anyone out early in his career. He was just a part of the offense and was used effectively.

His carries decreased dramatically in 2011.

The guy averaged over 7 YPC on around 100 carries. I would call that pretty damn effective. Wouldn't you?

Good athlete. Should have been moved to CB early in his career. Better suited for the position and could have made more of an impact at LSU. Not to late for a NFL team to take him as a UDFA and give him a shot at CB.

Probably too late for him. Would be hard to catch on if he has never played it. Will be a special teamer for a few years most likely.

Trindon got cut by Houston and the only reason Denver even risks his fumble problems is because he has world class speed.

Lol. Any other players you want to throw under the bus? Doesn't he have 2 return TDs on the season or something like that? I think it's nice to see him in the league and representing LSU and I hope the same for Shep. If the Broncos win out, Trindon will be undefeated in the 2012-13 season. I'm glad the Broncos are willing to put up with his fumble problems as they try to win the Super Bowl.

This was the words as reported by a Denver paper. Not mine. It was posted on here and that wasn't in any way me throwing TH under the bus.

Sure, I'll give that to you. But there is clearly a reason he wasn't involved more. Why is that? Was it overall talent? Was it that he couldn't catch consistently and therefore he wasn't considered as valuable? Was it too easy to key on him when he ined up that he may be running since he can't catch? Too many variables to consider but he clearly lacked something.

No way in the world that Miles & Co said frick RS and we aren't going to give ourselves the best possibility to win.

Obviously I just don't get it with him. Agree to disagree.

He has talent as evidenced by his long Td runs. He doesn't hav to beat out anyone when we're playing 5 backs at any given time. He just has to be schemed for, which is something our staff has trouble to do. It's the same ridiculous argument about running the option so that the D has to prepare for it. The only difference is that Shep was dangerous with the ball in his hands as opposed as our doofus head coach calling options to the short side of the field to try and keep the defense honest. Put Shep in for 15 plays a game and let him get 5-10 touches per game and make the defensive coordinators earn their keep to stop him. This, somehow, is incomprehensible for our coaching staff and those who blindly support them.

I'd wager that NFL scouts are well aware of the problems at LSU and give little credence to whatever Shep has to say on twitter like most other people.

Good thing we don't recruit in the state right next door to us then

Too bad that state doesn't produce 300 D1 players every year.

Also read the context. I swear, some of you are like PC crybabies looking for something to be offended about regarding LSU

If we don't want our former players saying things like this, we should probably fix our offense

He was used at LSU the correct way if he wanted a shot at the NFL.

WR was his best shot and he was passed up by younger guys on the depth chart who worked hard and improved.

Shep is an athletic freak but is not a pure football player.

I agree with Stout in that if he would have stopped pouting after last January and really hit the gym and film room a little more maybe he would have amounted to more.

Congrats on a free degree and I hope you can get a great job. That job will most likely not be in the NFL.

Not all 5 stars pan out. Shep is part of a long line of guys who didn't work out across America.

You're kind of being a shite head. His tweet was blown out of proportion by the arse heads on here. It was more of a compliment to A&M's offense matching his style of play.

Exactly!!! He was vety Pro-LSU innthe linked tweet and has always been. Some jack a@#$ on this board are good at turning on certain players who played for LSU. The cancer in LSU nation is not the current or former players, it is that segment of LSU fandom.

Problems at LSU? The program has been pretty successful. He is making himself out to be a crybaby regardless of credence of what he has to say. Like others have commented, "what player do you put on the bench to give him substantial touches?'

Hill, Ware, Beckham?

you may like him but he never amounted to much in college. I agree with OP that his tweets are shitty. He couldn't perform at the level he was expected to and now is feeling sorry for himself.

That's great in all, but he gets too much shite on here.

I got to know him during the early part of his career and he is good people.

He wasn't a top recruit for no reason. It's a shame her never got a chance. When he did during a freshman and sophomore, he was dynamic as a runner.

+1,000,000!!!!

This kid gave his all to LSU and never complained. Was always positive. Was one of the best, if not the best, player recruiters ever. Came back his senior year even though he was never given many touches. He makes a complmentary statement about his home team during their game in a tweet, and all hell breaks loose against him on here. And even in that tweet he talks about his love for LSU.

LSU really can do without those kind of fans.

I guarantee you have no knowledge whatsoever about what traning or film study he has done. I also guarantee he has amounted to more at LSU than you or probably anybody you ever knew have. And based on your attitude toward him, I would wager he will end up more successful in life than you. Small minds don't tend to prosper.

Do you really believe it was a free degree? Sort of like free food and housing for slaves, huh?

As for his NFL future, thankfully it wont be left up to you or those of your ilk.
