He has plenty of positive tweets about LSU and his time here.

I have no doubt he enjoyed his time at LSU. College is a fun time in life and especially being a football player where football is a second religion but if you don't see that tweet for the passive aggressive slap in the face it is then I am not sure what to tell you.

Lost a lot of respect for the kid after this comment, but he is still a tiger and people need to realize that. Even though he maybe didn't score a bunch of touchdowns like people thought he would, he was still an asset and part of the team.

I didn't lose respect for him at all. He's been a loyal supporter of the program his whole time here and continued to get shat upon. He had his problems on offense with shitty hands, but his talent alone warranted way more involvement than he ever got. I'm sure that most people on this board could come up with more creative ways to utilize Shep than calling a single jet sweep for him every other game. I don't want Shep to negatively impact the program, but if I were Shep, I'd be pissed. Good for him for standing up for himself. He should have done it sooner by transferring out or telling Miles to eff off once he could see the handwriting on the wall, but he was loyal to his core and likely to his detriment.

Yes

That's a pretty shitty thing to do.

Yea...Hyping his hometown team is shitty

Wish someone would tell him something when he comes back.

Like thanks for single handily bringing big time talent with him to LSU

Shep has been pouting since 1/9/12 and that is no doubt a huge reason he didn't get more touches this year. Feeling sorry for yourself will never get you very far.

Being passed up by ODB3 with the Lyles BS. He doesnt feel sorry for himself. He is actually humble and about to start his workouts with PP7 Monday.

quote:

He will make a practice squad if he is lucky and wind up back in Houston in a few years. He should be careful about what bridges he is burning right now if the rumors of him wanting to coach are true.

He will be drafted and used much better than Miles did. Hell he averaged 7.9 yards per touch.

I know this has probably been discussed but I haven't been following the drama.

Its not drama. Its people like you assuming he hates LSU when in fact he loves LSU.

I disagree. It is great if used properly but this isn't about twitter. Just thought you saying "Twitter stalkers" was dumb since not having people follow you defeats the purpose of Twitter.

Ummm...ODB3 is a better player and receiver has nothing to do with it?

Shep always considered that his school. Its only 1.5 hours away. Like saying Lafayette cant call LSU their home team.

No I didn't. I used what he has put out there. All I said was that it was shitty to do. I stand by that.

Twitter stalkers literally hang around looking for something to jump on. There are a boat load on the recruiting board.

You would have to negate 100% of what Shep has said publicly about LSU to put much stock in one line he tweeted.

Most of us are bright enough not to judge a guy based on one line.

look man, you want folks to be mad like you at a kid that was hardly used in his career at LSU. I think what he said is 100% correct and he is right to let his frustrations out. frick that! Miles begged the kid not to leave after the fiasco at the NC game last season, and for what got damn it? To be hardly used again! He is right in tellin other skilled kids that have similar talents to him to take their talents elswhere becvause they won't be used at LSU. And that's a fact!

LSU is not a great place for undersized burners who can't run between tackles our catch. Wish we had started him at QB over JJ but once we decided JJ was our future Shep never had a chance.

Disagree. One line is all it takes to discredit anything or anyone depending on the context of that line. I am not saying that is the case here but you could make an argument for it.

Guess we will just convinently forget last years melt down then.

Dont need a link. A&M was crap and really didnt even really recruit him. He had no desire to play there. I guess Landon Collins never called LSU his home team.

you may like him but he never amounted to much in college. I agree with OP that his tweets are shitty. He couldn't perform at the level he was expected to and now is feeling sorry for himself.

If he gets drafed, it will be very late and he won't get a second contract. He's just not very good. It has nothing to do with how he was used at LSU. Quite frankly, he was probably used too often.

He needs to go get a real job and be thankful for his opportunity at LSU - albeit unsuccessful in the eyes of many.

i know this is going to be hard to believe....but JJ was a better QB than Shep. So was Lee. All you have to do is check out Sheps recruiting highlight reels. 90% of them are of him running the ball.
