think about this

tim tebow throws the UGLIEST BALL i have ever seen, and does not have a strong arm. tim tebow is an outstanding runner. time tebow is the best leader i have ever seen

shep is criticized for not being able to throw the ball, which i feel is total horseshite from the start, ive seen him throw the football, he can throw it just fine. shep is a BETTER runner than tebow all things considered, mainly his weight. and there is no doubt in my mind shep can become the same leader that he is, as evidenced by his practices in recruiting players before he even stepped on campus

my question is, why can shep not get on the field, and why cant he play qb. with the talent this team has at the skill positions, this offense, dare i say it, could be UNSTOPPABLE with him out there at qb

and please, before you bash away at the comparison, please read the post. i am in no way shape or form saying they are on the same level right now. but the same exact things that are said about tebow are being said about shep, yet tebow got to play as a freshman, WAS THE REASON FLORIDA BEAT LSU(outside of the five turnovers) bc urban let him pass the ball for the first time against us

anyone else see this?

i prefer a q.b. that will read a defense, go through progressions, and make an accurate throw. only problem is the line doesn't provide enough time right now.

nobody saw tebow throw it either......oh wait, until 2006 when lsu was in the swamp

the jump pass was born, and even after 4 turnovers, lsu was still in the game, and urban lined up tebow in a running formation, let him throw it, and the receiver was so open that he could have caught it, gone and bought a new pair of jorts, and then came back and scored before we would have been there

hmm, so what you are saying is that we need a qb that will make quick decisions with his feet if our pass blocking is poor

hmmmmmmmmmmmm

the only time I and most other fans have seen him throw in an LSU uni was in the footage shot by WAFB for their preseason football special taken during practice. the one throw you could see looked like a wounded duck. i'm sure a lot of opinions we're formed based on this.

i am saying we need a q.b. that is better at "pocket presents" and can check off of the primary target if need be.

Just give him the Vince young treatment(from 2005, not 2004).

Run zone reads out of the shotgun. Play action off of this, give him 2 passing options and if they're not there tuck it and run.

Jefferson is really good at pocket presents.. every sack he takes is a gift to the opponents

miles needs to change this boring arse inept offense up big time for the aub. game, and maybe the season can be saved.

hell do that with JJ. he actually can run the zone read, unlike this other option play that needs to be scrapped.

Yes and I saw it throughout recruiting. This kid is a leader for sure and he is a player. I think it is foolish for a coach to think a freshmen can't be a leader.

This kid has a great personality, he handles himslef well, is always upbeat and positive and those are some of the characteristics of a leader.

I hated to see y'all get this kid because I think he is so good. He has to be given a chance in order to have a positive impact on the players around him. I think they have to figure out a way to get this kid on the field and get the ball in his hands. I think he is one of those players that can have an impact on the team just because he is on the field.

I really like this kid.

bingo

why is this not working. why is this not even an option

manwich, you and me both brah. this should have been tebow all over again, but our coaches failed to recognize the weapon they have at their disposal
