I've been saying all along, Gilbert should be banned from LSU football until he gives PenguinPubes an explanation

I didn’t know this till now. Definitely makes sense given his behavior. I was quick to judge at first but given the circumstances i would welcome him back and help us win some frickin football games!

Cole Taylor's shoe just tweeted that Arik will be a great backup option for LSU at tight end.

Brody Miller of The Athletic said on his Pod with T-Bob that a big chunk of the freshmen class struggled with depression this year.
That can be said about pretty much all college freshmen last year. Athletes came to these schools thinking that they were going to be Kings of the campus and nightclubs. Instead, they were just siloed away in their little bubbles and didn't have the same college experience that most of us loved and enjoyed.

Sounds like he needed a mega slice of humble pie.
Sounds like we have more wannabe psychologists on this board than sports fans.

ounds like you have no idea what you're talking about.
In Sailin Tiger's defense, just because 1 guy posts on a message board that Arik had a bipolar episode, doesn't make that the exact truth. You aren't more informed than anybody else bud.

In this case, yes I am.
I know what I said to be true. So does Moscona, TBob, and the other radio guys, so do a few other posters on here. They have all alluded to it a hundred times (referenced in this thread). It isn't just 1 poster, it is a ton of people who would know. So by definition, I am more informed on this subject than Sailin Tiger. I am not an insider, I don't have other information about the program. I just have been told by people very close to this specific situation what is going on.
I really don't care if you choose to not believe me, no sweat off my back. I don't even blame you, it is the internet, so take it how you will.
**The knowledge about mental illness, aside from Gilbert's situation, especially BPD and personality disorder, comes from personal experience with a family member for whom I am part of their support system and had to learn a ton on the subject as a result.

If that's true than I apologize, but I haven't seen or heard anywhere that radio hosts said it was bipolar issues. They've said "issues" but that could mean anything. Again, maybe I just didn't see it but I'm unaware of any radio hosts or people close to the program publicly saying it was mental disorder issues.

They've mentioned "mental issues to work out", that's why I said they've alluded to it. They all went off on him after he quit, but the next day it was all erased/backtracked because they all found out what really happened.
Honestly, if Ed Orgeron would've handled this better in the media, it would be a totally different situation. He needs a gag order placed on him pronto. I feel like he keeps saying stupid shite to reporters.
ETA:
And no apology necessary. I get it. It's the internet and this is tiger droppings, which is probably 90% misinformation. I do not blame you for being skeptical, I would be too. You got an upvote from me.

Plenty of people posted it.
Don't know why you have a problem with it but it's the truth.
The homesick shite was to protect the kid.

Will it cost another scholarship since he is actually in the portal and left?
Will cost one scholarship towards the 85 (or 81 in LSU’s case), but won’t count anything towards the 25 man signing class since he would not be a new signee. Think of it as he was suspended for a semester.

It's really no question his GPA is low. UF admissions office denied enrolling him which means it's likely below a 2.0
He left in November so he very well may not have completed any courses which results in a 0.0 GPA. That would place him on Academic Probation. He could continue in school but at the next measuring point in the probationary period, which is usually the end of the next semester, the GPA has to be increased to the minimum requirement at that point which I believe is a 1.5.
He very well couldn't meet the admissions requirements of many schools with a 0.0 thus his best shot would be to stay at LSU and get his grades up.
I'm a former education administrator so this is just my guess based on my experience.

You have to really try to get gpa under 2.0 with the classes they take or you can’t read English. And they have monitors to make sure you are in class and you have to meet with academic coach weekly

People dealing with severe psychological issues often struggle with basic life functions. School work is an afterthought.

Crazy, if I did all this as a regular student LSU wouldnt have me back.

From an eligibility standpoint, his grades are the problem right now, but there might/might not also be a issue with weed related suspension as well.
First things first, he clearly needs to be working hard on his coursework to get his GPA back up. That much is obvious from UF admission denying him.
100% honest question - where do you get this info? Has this actually been reported?
