games > practices/scrimmages it should all be about the games, absent some horrible behavior/chemistry issues
Football does not equal basketball and RBs do not equal QBs. If you are a RB tearing it up consistently in practices and scrimmages against good competition, you are going to do so in the games. I've never heard of a RB who sucked in practice but was great in games or vice versa.
If Magee or any other RB can break more tackles and make more plays in practice and scrimmages against LSU's D, there is no reason to think he won't do so in live action. Breaking tackles is breaking tackles.

Run at 58 seconds is freaking awesome! Story of this thread should be how our coaching staff isn't stargazers and can recognize talent.

And from this view it's kinda hard to tell that he was tip-toeing the sideline. That run was from his junior year.

I've seen Magee in person many times. Kid is the real deal. He has UNREAL vision and makes great cuts. Also a really good kid that has great work ethic. The kid has all the tools to be great and the work ethic to put him over the edge.

Check the dates.
1. The quoted comment was from the 4th, not today.
2. The article you linked was from yesterday, not the 4th or today. And he did practice today.

what you do in games matters. period (again, absent some horrible behavior/chemistry issue)

I guess I'm not a big fan of someone talking out of their arse
who is talking out of their arse?
i just watched his highlights again and he runs just like skyler green. hell, physically he's a lot like skyler green
he's a shifty/speed back who is short. that isn't saying he's a bad RB or won't do anything. it's just describing his style

That said...I'm not a homer and do not want him getting carries over another guy for any other reason than he is flat out better. Whichever guy gives LSU the best chance to win on Saturday is the guy I want carrying the rock. I hope that can be Terrance one day and from the sounds of things it seems pretty likely. Pardon me for beeing a little excited that our hometown hero is doing well.
hey i was just asking. BigEd always talks about him. SFP was talking out of his arse. Hes not a scat back

poor work ethic and less than 100% in practice is a behavior/chemistry problem...

Kevin Faulk in high school...same guy. Watched both live as well as Skylar and he's closer to Faulk than anyone else.

not really
some guys are so good that they don't have to give it their all (in practice and even on the field)
football isn't about who practices the best or the hardest. it's about who plays the best on the field

Winning championships is about work ethic, commitment and preparation. Playing an ultra-talent who is a slacker off the field kills chemistry. These guys don't take home the trophy...

Basically every great player and coach in history disagrees. They all mention work ethic, preparation and dedication as attributes of their success.
