I don’t expect ticket prices to drop much from where they are today but there are a couple factors that come to mind:

- Right now, 4 fan bases are potentially creating demand
- School allocated tickets have not been released which reduces supply

To get in “cheap” someone needs to be willing to wait until the game starts, potentially, well into the first quarter.

$1,500 for crap tickets in the upper level at the Superdome is a non-starter for me. I’ve been to enough games up there to know I won’t pay that much to see the game from there. The prices in watching are for lower bowl which were $2,000+ when I checked earlier this week.

At what point in the game do they stop checking for tickets?
Could you stroll in at half time?

The prices will drop as game time approaches but don’t expect to get anything under $500.

Prices always drop the closer you get to the event.

The Texas game from this year begs to differ.

There are over 40,000 tix that have not been distributed yet. Obviously they won’t all be available to the secondary market, but more supply won’t drive the price up. Regardless, based off the face value $1,300 is not an insane mark up.

I’ve bought a lot of last minute tickets and it always works the opposite of this.

Not for a NC game.

The price in front of the Dome 30 min before kickoff for a single will be around $150

I had this mentality too until the UT game this year. I saw 200 people trying to buy tickets outside of the stadium. I only found 2 people selling 1 single each. They were asking $700 and I doubt you could have talked them below $500. Granted, we ended up getting in for $100 by paying off the security guard

Yeah if it costs $150 you’ll be buying a fake ticket. If LSU is in, last minute tickets may go north of $2,000.

What for last minute it will drop. People don't want to have to eat the cost so they will settle for less not try to get more

I gave someone else this same advice hopefully he listened because prices are up from the other day.

I have been to the last 3 games with LSU in the Naty in the Dome and the prices never really went down in all three cases.

If Clemson wins, there might be a time when prices come in a little bit but if OSU wins look for prices to go even higher.

The reason I say this is because Clemson’s fans might have a little sticker shock at these prices and the fact that have been to 3 championships in a row there might not be as much interest with the prices here.

But OSU hasn’t been to the Naty in 4 years, their fans will be itching to go and they think they can win it all also, couple that and the fact that OSU travels well and spends money, if it is LSU/OSU the ticket prices will reach record numbers watch and see!

I'm convinced the people who spout off this stupidity do it just to act like a hot shot. This won't happen. This doesn't happen.

I remember back in 2003 when NC Tickets became a new form of currency.
