You act as if LSU ( every sec team has stories of getting screwed by the refs in Alabama, by either Bama or Auburn) hasn't been screws over numerous times in the stet of Alabama. You would have to have your head in the sand to no see Bama getting benefit of the doubt. They are a run first and run second team but yet they NEVER get called for holding. It's common knowledge you can call holding on every play. While I do think bitching about it is bitchin. To not acknowledge it is dumb.

explain cam newton and Au.
A n.c.a.a. rule was broke, someone (the father) asked for money for his play. it's clear in the rule this illegal. AU declared him ineligible, the s.e.c. saw no harm when it was first reported prior to the season, And, the n.c.a.a. found no foul within 2 hours of him being ruled ineligible.
if you don't think people are on the take, from politicians, to c.e.o's, to refs, to conferences, then you are ignorant. Vegas know's more than all of us when it comes to sports. there is a reason. The money is so big you can't wrap your brain around it.
there have been people like the n.b.a. ref that has been caught, pete rose, college players admitting to throwing games for money (i believe it was arizona st basketball) in the past. it does go on.
i'm not saying the refs will be all bama. both are n.c. championship contending teams. therefore, the conference may not have a favorite. however, there is over 20 million reason's a conference want to make sure a n.c. contending team gets a break or two. ohio state is living proof of this the year they won the n.c.
texas against kansas a few years back. texas against nebraska.
it does happen.

Being such a high profile game #1 vs #2, I wish Slive would pull in refs from another conference.
I have long felt that the SEC refs are some of the most blind, indecisive, and ignorant refs I have ever seen on a football field. That being said, I am hoping that there isn't any Bammer bias in the upcoming game.
People can argue all day long that the refs don't give the gumps any breaks, but if you watch the big games over the years, there are way too many questionable calls and no calls that go in Bama or Auburn's favor for it to be completely coincidence.
I do have a question, though. In reference to snow517's comment above......if Les, or any coach for that matter, was really concerned with the chance of being assigned refs that suck, could they request refs from another conference? I know in high school football, a coach simply fills out a card and sends it in to make sure a certain ref or team doesn't call their games any more. Anybody know how it works in college besides the Conference supposedly reviewing ref's performances?

bad calls happen all the time, probably every game. the game is uber fast and calls must be made on the run and in real time it's bam bam. you are correct but convincing many that there isn't a referee conspiracy on bama's wagon is not possible. good luck.

I hope he can see the sea from his front porch.

Have you not watched the Auburn games in 04 and 06 and the bama game in 09? Yes, are there other games that you could point to that benefitted LSU, yes, but you can't say we did not get screwed in those games. shite PP had two feet in and only needed one.

You people make us look STOOOOOPID. If you all SERIOUSLY think that the best league in the nation is "on the take" and will put refs on a field to intentionally "throw" a game that the WHOLE WORLD will be watching, then you are too dumb to help. Get all of this conspiracy crap out of your heads and just look forward to a great game. NOBODY is going to cheat LSU. I promise.
I agree with this. I blame incompetence on the PP call two years ago.

You are an arse and only hijacked other threads . You haven't watched much LSU football if you don't think that the refs control some games in Alabama. Some of the Auburn games or worse than the Alabama games but both get preferential treatment.

Auburn 06 was worse than anything else. But that just kills the conspiracy theory. You can't tell me the refs are for BOTH Auburn and Alabama.

Not just LSU, any team that has to play a team in the state of Alabama is going to get hosed. Sorry.

Disciplined football or a blind eye? An amazing stat for any team. Did Nick have this kind of stats while at LSU?

I love how everyone just ignores that game and just says that we're screwed by the refs all the time. I think it will be even because there's no doubt in my mind that the SEC is drooling at all the talk of a rematch of this game in the BCSNCG.

The officials are from the state of Alabama. They have to live amongst and do business w/ people from Alabama. So yes the collusion exists for BOTH schools.
Ultimately collusion or not these officials are amateurs. You get what you pay for.

I don't know but I just looked at the stats and it is pretty even for home and away conference vs. non conference. Maybe it is a Saban deal this year and not a Bama deal.
That being said I would be afraid to call a penalty on muschamp because he might actually try to fight me.

The problem is most the people on here seem to only watch LSU games and therefore don't see the bad calls that happen in all the games across the league.
While watching LSU games they only focus on calls that go against LSU and "no calls" that happen on big plays that go against LSU.
They don't tend to look at the calls that go against the opponent or the "no call" that happen when LSU gets a big play.
Anyone watching with those Fanboy glasses will always think that it is only LSU getting hosed with calls and no one else.

It seriously makes ya'll look like a bunch of bitches. We can all go back to games in years past and find something to bitch about. You sound like Auburn when you whine about the mean refs.
