Taken from another thread...

quote:

We all know that the refs in this game will be looking at any reason to throw a flag on the Tigers.

quote:

If LSU is going to lose this game, it will because of late hits and other penalty calls

quote:

The Bama payroll refs will absolutely be looking for any excuse to let their flags fly against the Tigers next week

quote:

These refs have a history of throwing flags at teams on Alabamas home field.

quote:

Alabama is the least penalized team in the country on their home field and the refs are mostly homies who might take exception

You people make us look STOOOOOPID. If you all SERIOUSLY think that the best league in the nation is "on the take" and will put refs on a field to intentionally "throw" a game that the WHOLE WORLD will be watching, then you are too dumb to help. Get all of this conspiracy crap out of your heads and just look forward to a great game. NOBODY is going to cheat LSU. I promise.

I see that you are full of both shite and empty promises. You don't have a fricking clue whether the refs will cheat or not. Referees in many sports, including professional basketball, have gone to jail for being on the take. Your assumption that the SEC is somehow magically immune from this is as empty as your promise that it won't happen. And anybody who watched the 2009 SEC football season and doesn't think SEC refs cheat is just fricking blind, stupid or both.

Agreed - dominate the game for 60 minutes and don't let subjective (or objective) officiating enter the equation.

As Little Nicky would say...some LSU fans have "Chicken Little Syndrome". Always fear that the sky is falling.

I agree, but things have improved since that atrocious 2009 season. In 2009, the league, in theory, could had a vested interest in protecting both Alabama and Florida...and they did it well. Right now both are undefeated so it won't matter.

PP interception. That in itself was a game changer and enough right there.

We have gotten some pretty shitty treatment from refs while in the state of Alabama, whether it was the barners or the gumps. The tipped pass interference in auburn, blocked pat, etc...

I don't buy into the conspiracy theory much, but LSU fans are justified in worrying..based off of past experiences in that shitty state.

Yes, the SEC refs are fair, there is no insider trading on Wall St., unions protect worker rights and insurance companies are your friend.

If you're talking about 2004, then that wasn't Shula's last year.

I don't buy the conspiracy theories and don't go into games concerned about whether the refs are going to sway the game one way or the other. That being said, there's a BIG difference between a judgment call on the field that can't be reviewed and a CLEAR interception that was looked at over and over in the replay booth and still was called wrong. That baffles me.

And that was a judgment call that wasnt in the final 6 minutes if the game with a team trailing by less than a TD.

It's the non-calls that disturb me. Seemed last week Auburn's O line was sliding by with an inordinate amount of holding.

Same when we play Bama.

Watch the no-calls.

I don't buy the conspiracy theory either. The PP call was really puzzling, but, frankly, I actually think it was TOO obvious to be an intentional screw job. I'm thinking it was a combination of bad replay equipment and incompetence. Hopefully, neither of those affect the game on November 5.
