He does that.....
He’s way too pull happy. He’s got the talent to be a top hitter in the SEC but he needs to bring it down a notch or two and realize he can’t pull everything in this league.

Maineri can’t get out of his own way
He doesn’t let the players work themselves out of a lull. He thinks he has to be the one to make it happen. He forces a hit and run, or he shuffles the lineup all around. He inserts himself into the equation.

I think he’s a guy that absolutely needs to be protected. That’s why having him in the two hole is huge so Cabrera is behind him.

He is the coach. Is it not his job to figure out a way to get his team going?

Agreed.
As of right now you’d have to waterboard me before I threw him a first pitch fastball.

Hopefully the hitting coach can get his hands higher so he can barrel up pitches high in the zone.

Fontenot failing big-time

We would have scored a run if Gio bunts Runners over to 2B/3B. Cranford gets HBP and Mathis flyball would have been been likely a Sac fly. Ran ourself out of the inning.

Paul does nothing so his players can work it out themselves: “CPM does nothing! Why isn’t he coaching!!!!!”
Paul tried to make things happen: “Why is Pawl coaching!!!!!”
