selection committee

what this "bias" committee did to a achool that has done - so much - for college baseball is almost criminal.
if the sec does not stand up - the same thing will happen in football championship selection.
we run a good program & we do not travel to play out of state games because it does cost money to do so & the program travels to new orleans, other state areas to help programs that want & appreciate the help.
we do not spend the money we make on the baseball program in a foolish way. they operate within guidelines set up by the university.
we - sec- must get some people on this selection committee to make sure we - the sec - gets a fair shake.

Not true. LSU didn't get in because St. John's had a member on the committee.

That may be true and all, but we wouldn't have to even have worried about it had we had a better season.

How was MSU in then? We beat them, and many other teams that got in LSU would have killed. The fact is if LSU got in we would have likely been a 2~3 seed. We didn't get one of those so they decided we were not deserving of a 4 and snuffed us.

Hey numbnuts people are complaining bc of the teams that got in ahead of us. Everyone agrees we had a shitty season. Other teams who made it just had shittier seasons.

Reminds me of a kids soccer league where everyone should get a trophy just for participating ... how about win something before complaining about not making the tournament.

True. If we make the SEC tournament, we are in--simple as that. How sad that we are complaining about not making the NCAA tournament when we sucked in SEC play. How sad that we have fallen this far.

Can't believe all this bickering about gettn in or not gettn in, when this program should only be worrying about hosting a regional and a super regional. Remember those days. Let's be more concerned with things gettn back to that level.

I know we had a terrible season. I'm not going to sugarcoat it, but the fact that teams with worse seasons got in makes it feel worse. If LSU doesn't get in, and every other team had a legitimate claim then I wouldn't complain. However, seeing teams get in that we know shouldn't makes it a crapfest.

the NCAA selected oklahoma state last year, despite them not making the big 12 tourney. they also selected mississippi state in 2006 despite them not making the SEC tourney

Or let's just give another team 4 games above .500 with a losing conference record and worse RPI than LSU a 2 seed
