Yeah you can get in with a loss. I'm not sure how the ACC does their tie breakers though.

they would play a 3rd game but they wont make the championship game. every team plays 3 and the top team from the 2 pools play in the championship game

Yeah, they will still play a third game, but their chances for winning the tournament would be zero.
They are beating GT 4-2 in the 5th right now.
