All-in-all another gritty performance by Eades today. Yeah, that's what I'd call it...gritty.

Eades says "for those who wanted to pull me, suck on that"

I think we should go to the bullpen after this inning. Eades has had a tired arm lately, and winning this tournament is not more important than winning next weekend.
I tend to agree. I'm not sure what Mainieri's pitch count was for him today but he definitely shouldn't let him exceed it.

I think everyone would say they are happy with Eades going 6 innings giving 0 runs. Great outing for us.

I just dont want to ruin the outing by leaving him in too long. Most of our relievers can go 1 inning today and then do 1 again tomorrow or sunday.

How many runs they got? Nothing else fricking matters. Really, nothing.

When analyzing the past and congratulating Eades on 5 (now 6) shutout innings, yes you're right. When looking toward future innings it's a different story. Of course, he just had his best inning as I type this so.....

If Eades is the 3rd guy next weekend, he'll have until Saturday, at least, to rest. What does it matter?

Completely agree. I think he's been great, but I dont think that means he needs to continue pitching.
