It would seem as if we need both Bama & Ole Miss to lose this weekend to make our chances of winning the West better.

We would still have Arky and AtM at home.

Bama would have 2 losses going into Nov

Ole Miss could have 1 loss but still has to play AtM and Miss St.

I was thinking this through because I was rooting for Bama and Ole Miss so that Florida is a night game but if winning the West is on the line then give me a day game!

I know some on here say "if we win out we will control our destiny" but we didn't in 2003 and 2007 and when we did in 2011 Bama didn't control its destiny and still relied on many variables.

So, my question to the rant is ...who are YOU pulling for this weekend between Ole Piss vs Florida and Bama vs UGA?

Florida and UGA. Bama and Ole Miss losing to East teams will only help us in winning the West. Also, we've done pretty well on CBS day games lately.

Not if we beat them both.

My gut feeling is the best scenario would be we go into Bama game with us having no losses and Bama with 2. If we lose that game we play an undefeated Ole Miss team, who we beat. Then we win the the tie-breaker and beat Georgia in SEC championship.... or we win them all. Lol!

Conventional wisdom tells me to almost always pull for the east teams to beat the non-LSU west teams. I'm banking on this weekend being in the almost always category.

I always pull for SEC east teams when they play the other SEC west teams.

Every conference loss for Ole Miss Alabama and aTm is a win for LSU.

Generally, this is the case. The only possible exceptions I could think of would be ones like Arkansas-Tennessee and Georgia-Auburn, when the West team is out of the division race, and the East team losing would help us in a potential 3-way tiebreaker. Neither of these games qualify for that.

pull for UF and UGA period.

if LSU, OM, ALA tie with 2 losses.

could boil down to Record against other division

LSU (SCAR & UF)
OM (UF and Vandy)
BAMA (GA & TENN)

might as well give OM and BAMA a East Division loss. (if it even comes to that equation)

Since East opponent record could come into play, we want to pull for UF and USCe when we're not playing them. We also want to pull against UGA and Tennessee when they're not playing Bama. As for Ole Miss, we just need USCe to have a better SEC record than Vandy.

Don't see it. LSU has flaws in passing game. The defense is young. Too many penalties on offense.

My two favorite teams are LSU and whoever plays Alabama. I even want that on a tee shirt.

That being said, my hate for bama is relatively recent. My hated for Ole Miss was handed down to me from my father.

Every loss by Bama, the Aggies, and Ole Miss is a good thing. I want them to lose every time they play. I don't spend a second thinking about how it impacts LSU's fortunes as far as a SEC West title or bowl selection or college playoff position.
Keep winning and everything takes care of itself.
LSU is a still developing. LSU will be a better team when they play bama and ole miss. Bama and ole miss will continue to develop as well. That's why they play the games.

IDGAF if we were 0-5 at this point. GEAUX MFKING DAWGS! to know bama fans and how downtrodden they will be if they lose to uga- warms my heart just thinking about it. the potential to see bryant-denny not at full capacity. to know that the entirety of their pathetic and misguided lives will be ruined until kickoff 2016. the finebaum calls. the second guessing. the saban frustration. the uncertainty of the future. the fodder and lunacy about coaching "hot seats". the rant. the decline in wal mart profits. WWE and deer huntin participation up with a subsequent football viewership down across the yellowhammer state?

GEAUX DAWGS AND GO GATA !

We lost 1 in 03 and 2 in 07 so if we win out we will control our destiny .
