It depends...If you listen to the "Talking Heads" you want to play LSU. If you have lived in the "Real SEC" for a while, you most certainly want to play the Aggies!

I listen to TexAgs radio occasionally and they almost exclusively have opinions that Ags are the 1a in the West.

Lsu is easily the 2nd best team in the West, like most years.
aTm is over rating themselves and AU is a shell of its good years.
That said, a Lane Kiffin coached Ole Miss with the most returning total team production in the SEC going into year 2 of his offense with a solid QB and his ego driven, hard-on to beat Saban is the team I'm looking the least forward to playing, regardless of the talent mismatch across the board

If you have never been around A&M fans before, they would qualify as the most delusional fan base in the country for a school that’s never really won anything. Last season was the ultimate dangle of a carrot for them because they took advantage of a down SEC during a pandemic season. The people who think they will finish 11-1 or 10-2 are in for a rude awakening this year. It’s different playing with high expectations for a program that isn’t used to it.

100% accurate. Their fanbase has been delusional for as long as I can remember. Until they win something of significance call me skeptical.
Another 8-4 season with a bowl win...print the cups.
